The morning sun is out shining brightly, leaving Perilia no other choice than to wake up. She stood up from the hospital bed and headed to the bathroom where she had her bath and brushed her teeth.
It has been a week now, since she was admitted to this hospital. That woman whom she had come to know as Mrs silver had told her to stay this long in other to rest , if not she would have left long ago.
Who is she kidding perilia thought, she didn't even have any place to go she reasoned bitterly.
Stepping out of the bathroom, she saw Mrs silver sitting on the bed ,arranging her things, it seems she just arrived. Perilia nodded her head in the form of greeting since she can't speak for now, not that she even use to speak before.
My pearl how are you, Mrs silver greeted back as she walked up to perilia giving her a hug while perilia's body stiffened, she wasn't use to all this affection. Perilia also wondered why people kept calling her a pearl including this woman. A pearl is something precious while she's nothing close to precious.
Mrs silver disengage from the hug to take a look at this pearl's face. She had investigated perilia's background and the result wasn't anything amazing. She had gotten information on her , her life in America and how she came to Korea, everything which made her realized how much suffering this girl has gone through.
Being an orphan with no one to rely on , Mrs silver couldn't help but praise this girl in her mind for holding on this long. She's a strong girl she thought.
Perilia could feel the woman's gaze on her , why is looking at me like that she thought.
Let's have our seat , Mrs silver said bringing perilia out of her thoughts, I have something I'd like to discuss with you, she added
Perilia sat down obediently, while the woman sat next to her, mrs silver took perilia's hand into hers, looking at her face.
Good job, Mrs silver said suddenly,while perilia stared at the woman confusingly,
For holding on all this while, good job , Mrs silver added.
Your name is perilia hades, am I right ? She questioned
Perilia nodded, wondering how this woman knew her name, not many people knew her name in Korea,only her part-time bosses cos she filled their form.so..
And you're eighteen years old?, Mrs silver asked again , she wanted to confirm the information she got on this girl, how true it was ,though she doubted anyone will be wrong after all , the investigation was done by one of the best investigating team in Korea which only people like her, have access to.
And the girl nodded again, confusion visible in her eyes,
Hah Mrs silver chuckled, you don't have to be surprised, I had someone investigate your background, since you can't speak for now, Mrs silver said trying to assure perilia.
All you have to do is nod , if what I asked is correct Mrs silver added and the girl nodded in understanding,
You use to live in America and then you came to Korea through a scholarship, am I right?
Perilia nods,
Then you got lost at the airport and then started fending for yourself, mrs silver asked
Nods,
You were sent packing out of your house that night cos of your inability to pay the rent and then that's how we met on an accident, Mrs silver said trying not to remember the incident,
Perilia nodded her head for the last time, she didn't know how this woman got the information, but it was indeed correct, though she missed some few details but this was like the most important information about herself.
Mrs silver smiled, when she had confirmed her information, before deciding to drop the bombshell,
Miss perilia hades if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you something more like a proposal ,Mrs silver asked while perilia raised her head to look at her,
Would you like to come live at my place; if you don't mind, Mrs silver said while perilia looked shocked but she didn't show it, keeping an expressionless face has become part of her.
