Chereads / Trader In The World Of Pirates!!! / Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Settlement

Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Settlement

The biting wind whistled in Leo's ears, and the strong wind pressure brushed against his body like a knife. He endured the pain and steadied his body by half-crouching and half-lying.

"It's so cool! Is this what it feels like to fly in the sky!?" Looking at the magnificent sea below, he could see several palm-sized ships floating from time to time. Leo was filled with a strange sense of pleasure!

Pidgeot took Leo soaring wantonly in the sky. As a bird Pokémon with a top speed of Mach 2, it can be said that it is the only king of the sky now! And the only thing that limits it is the owner on its back.

There was no way; Leo was still a mortal, and he couldn't withstand the strong wind pressure. After flying for more than an hour, Pidgeot's super eyesight finally discovered a very prosperous island.

"Bi!" Pidgeot chirped to remind Leo.

Leo carefully emerged from its wings, ignoring his hair flying in the wind, and looked at the giant island in the distance. After observing for a while, he gently patted Pidgeot's neck, pointed to the front, and said, "Let's go, Pidgeot, lower your altitude a little and go over there to have a look. If it's suitable, we'll settle there today."

"Bi~" Pidgeot made a loud bird call, tilted its whole body slightly, and flew downward smoothly.

...

East Blue Sea - Coaster Island - Coaster Kingdom.

A country that has not appeared in the plot but is also under the World Government...

The Kingdom of Coast is a relatively well-known country in the vast East Blue Sea. It was rumoured that the previous King of Coast loved amusement parks. So soon after he ascended the throne, he mobilised nearly a million people across the country and spent 20 years building the entire island into a huge amusement city. In addition, there is a naval base near the country, and the kingdom's national strength is not weak, and its security is guaranteed, making it one of the famous tourist attractions in the East Blue Sea. The whole country is full of peace and joy.

...

...

"I didn't expect that the pirate world would have such an interesting place~"

After taking back Pidgeot outside the city, Leo secretly followed a tourist group and successfully sneaked into the city. As soon as he entered the town, Leo's eyes suddenly lit up. It deserves to be said to be a famous tourist country in the East Blue Sea.

In this city, all the buildings are in a dreamy cartoon style. Coupled with the dazzling array of beverage shops and snack bars on the street, as well as the crowded pedestrians with smiles on their faces, Leo suddenly had a new understanding of the pirate world.

"Perhaps this is the justice that the navy wants to protect."

He found a relatively remote hotel and rented a room for three days using the Berry he took from Ace before leaving. Lying on the soft big bed, Leo lay on his side skillfully and drank the juice he just bought.

At this moment, Leo's heart finally settled down. Don't look at how he pretended to be cool in front of Ace before. In fact, he had no idea at all. The sudden time travel caught him completely off guard. In order to arouse Ace's desire to trade, Leo had always been putting on airs before and never relaxed. Now, he finally had time to take a good look at his system.

"System!" Leo muttered silently in his mind. In an instant, a virtual interface appeared in front of him. His eyeballs were filled with densely packed products of all kinds. Leo searched the system for a long time before he found the target he wanted - a computer Rotom.

"Let me see... the most expensive computer Rotom, is priced at 250 points?" "It's a bit expensive…" Leo murmured. But when he thought about his next actions and plans, he still became determined. "I should do everything I can while I still have money…"

After hesitating for a moment, he exchanged the most expensive computer Rotom from the system. At the same time, Leo also added some new functions to it and allowed it to obtain information about all trading items in his system... The total price added up to a total of 500 points. This price is really not cheap at all; it is enough to buy two and a half Pidgeots! As the points in the system decreased, an orange laptop with two cute big eyes on the top of the lid instantly appeared in front of Leo.

"Good afternoon, master!" As soon as the computer Rotom appeared, it issued a sweet female voice and greeted Leo. As a possession of a high-end electrical appliance, it not only possesses terrifying computing power but also has emotional intelligence not inferior to that of humans. It can completely carry out normal conversations as a special human being.

"Hello, Rotom." Leo looked at the magical little guy in front of him with a smile on his face. "Rotom, help me organize and analyze which things in the system are useful to me today and which things can be used to trade with other people. I have given you the authority."

"Roger, Master!" Rotom, who had the authority to view the system, accepted the order. Its eyes immediately emitted a burst of electronic light, and then it began to calculate frantically.

"I'm going to have you work hard for a while…" Leo stroked Rotom and slowly placed it on the bedside table beside the bed. He knew that even with Rotom's terrifying computing power that rivaled that of a supercomputer, it would probably take several days to sort out all the information in his system! After all... there is an entire world stored in his system! What kind of concept is this? People who have not experienced it will never understand. All creatures and materials in the world exist in the system... Billions of humans, hundreds or even hundreds of billions of Pokémon, countless props... Even soil, ore, seawater, magma, air, and other commodities are incomprehensible. Faced with such a huge amount of information, the system only gave Leo the ability to search for corresponding products on a conditional basis. Faced with such a powerful supplier, Leo knew that he would definitely not be able to do this business on his own. Fortunately, he can also choose a special Pokémon like Rotom as his assistant. Looking at Rotom, whose face was gradually turning red, Leo prayed for it silently in his heart, turned around, took a bath, lay down on the bed, and had a good sleep.

In the blink of an eye, three days passed. Because he didn't have much of a budget, Leo stayed in the hotel for three days, unable to leave. With the game console he had redeemed before, he didn't feel bored during these past three days.

Just when Leo's room fee was about to expire, the computer Rotom finally sorted out the information in his system.

"I'm tired... I'm exhausted, Master," gasped the computer Rotom, which had been silent for three days. God knows how it spent these three days!

"Thank you for your hard work!" Leo touched the computer screen twice symbolically. Then, he immediately opened the computer Rotom like a scumbag and clicked on the information it had compiled.

This advanced computer was remarkably smart. In three days, Rotom had planned the categories of all the information in the system.

The information was divided into four major sections: humans, Pokémon, items, and abilities.

Human beings were further divided into hundreds of categories based on occupation, age, gender, honor, and more. Leo even saw familiar characters from the anime like Ash, Misty, Dr. Oak, and Ash's mother.

However, what surprised him was that for some unknown reason, the price of humans was generally much higher than that of Pokémon. Even characters like Kona, Sirona, and Lurina cost about 10,000 points. Even the infamous Dr. Omu required a whopping 50,000 points for redemption. Leo gave up the idea of exchanging humans in the short term after seeing these prices.

Turning his attention to the Pokémon section, Leo found it to be well-organized, with categories based on the Pokémon illustrated number, attributes, age, and strength.

The item section was more complicated, divided into Pokémon items and other items, with further divisions like skills, food, clothing, and more.

Finally, the ability section piqued Leo's curiosity as he had not seen anything like it in his system. It was simpler than the other sections, featuring only a few dozen products. However, these abilities left Leo stunned.

Among the abilities were the power of Aura, the power of seal, the power of dragon control, the power of nature, water affinity, and many more. These special abilities were available for Leo to redeem through points.

"Is this okay!?" he exclaimed. Leo had never considered using points to acquire such powerful abilities before. Creating something from scratch using points was costly, but redeeming existing items required far fewer points.

The difference was as significant as shopping in a high-end flagship store compared to bargain hunting during a sale.

Seeing these special abilities, Leo's excitement grew. Who wouldn't want superpowers? While he used to desire the ability to make anyone fall in love with him, now that he was in the world of pirates, he decided to focus on becoming a successful Pokémon merchant.

His mind raced with possibilities, and the beginnings of a plan formed in his mind.
