Helen Cho: "Dr. Morbius, you finally decided to buy a Devil Fruit from the Shopkeeper? May I ask which fruit you chose?"
Michael Morbius: "I bought the Horm-Horm Fruit. To put it simply, it allows me to modify the human body by controlling hormones."
Vanessa: "That sounds like an incredible fruit! But... what exactly do you mean by 'modifying'? What kind of changes are we talking about?"
Hope van Dyne: "Hello, Dr. Morbius! I'm Hope van Dyne. Welcome to the group!"
Hope van Dyne: "Though I don't know what kind of changes it causes, given that it's a Devil Fruit, I have a feeling it's not a simple transformation."
Michael Morbius: "You're right. It's not a simple change. For instance, I can use the fruit's power to turn a man into a woman!"
This statement stunned everyone in the group. Changing a man into a woman seemed way too extreme. A seamless gender transformation was something beyond comprehension.
Wade Wilson: "Turning a man into a woman? Can you really do that? That sounds amazing!"
Wade Wilson: "To be honest, I've always been curious about what it would feel like to be a woman. It must be a magical experience! Dr. Morbius, could you transform me into a woman sometime? I'd love to feel what it's like!"
Charles Xavier: "Changing one's gender at will? That's... quite remarkable!"
Helen Cho: "It certainly sounds like a miraculous fruit."
Michael Morbius: "Apologies, I forgot to clarify earlier—what I meant by turning a man into a woman is just an alteration of appearance, not an actual change of gender."
So, it was just changing someone's appearance without truly altering their gender. In other words… it was more like creating a drag queen. Everyone in the group collectively shuddered. This kind of transformation was definitely not for everyone.
Wade Wilson: "A drag queen? That actually sounds even more interesting! It's like becoming a new kind of human, beyond male or female!"
Wade Wilson: "Dr. Morbius, when you have time, could you try modifying me? I'm really eager to give it a go!"
The entire group was taken aback by Deadpool's enthusiasm, and many couldn't help but give him looks of admiration. Truly, he was a brave soul.
After the brief chat in the group, Morbius didn't linger for long and soon logged out.
"Shopkeeper, today has been an eye-opening experience. The Devil Fruits have opened a whole new world of possibilities for me," Morbius said, looking at Rosh with genuine gratitude. "With the help of the Horm-Horm Fruit, I believe my research will see groundbreaking progress."
"Then I wish you the best of success, Morbius," Rosh sincerely replied.
"Thank you, Shopkeeper."
"Well, I won't take up any more of your time today. I'll stop by again another day."
"You're always welcome."
"Goodbye, Shopkeeper."
"Goodbye!" Morbius left the Devil Fruit shop after exchanging a few more polite farewells.
'Another Devil Fruit sold! Not bad at all!' Rosh was in a good mood. It meant he was one step closer to reaching his sales target.
Doing the math, he realized that he had sold a total of fourteen Devil Fruits so far. That left only one more to meet the system's next upgrade criteria. Rosh was eagerly looking forward to the system update. He was curious to see which new fruits would be available, perhaps even some from the Logia category!
As for the current sales task, seven of the ten required fruits had already been sold, including Morbius's purchase of the Horm-Horm Fruit. Only three more remained before he could complete this phase and receive the rewards. Rosh felt more motivated than ever, with only three fruits left to sell. Even in his next ranked match, he seemed to be on a winning streak, managing five consecutive victories and climbing to Diamond 1.
After Morbius left, a few more customers trickled into the shop throughout the day. Some were skeptical of the Devil Fruit's claims, while others simply couldn't afford the hefty price tag. No further sales were made, which didn't concern Rosh much.
That was until around 3 p.m. when a well-dressed man walked into the shop.
The man wore a well-tailored suit and exuded the aura of a successful Wall Street professional. His hair was perfectly styled, and a scarf hung around his neck, adding to his polished appearance. He wore a warm, friendly smile as he entered the shop.
"Good afternoon, shopkeeper. I'd like to inquire, what exactly is a Devil Fruit?" the man asked politely, taking in the store's surroundings casually before turning his attention to Rosh.
From experience, Rosh guessed that this man was likely a high-value customer—someone willing to drop millions on a Devil Fruit. He knew exactly how to handle this type of client. Just as Rosh was about to prepare to make his pitch. Suddenly, a warning message appeared in his mind, courtesy of the system.
[Warning! Warning! An illegal transaction has been detected. Please handle it immediately!]
'An illegal transaction?' Rosh was momentarily stunned. His first thought was that this man might be buying the fruit on behalf of someone else who already controlled three Devil Fruits. However, Rosh received an unexpected answer upon asking the system for clarification.
[The potential buyer, Klein Fassbinder, is a member of The Hand. All members of The Hand have been blacklisted and are forbidden from purchasing Devil Fruits.]
'The Hand?' Rosh hadn't expected this suave-looking man to be associated with such a notorious organization. Had he known from the start that the man was affiliated with The Hand, he wouldn't have sold him a Devil Fruit even without the system's prohibition. Selling to someone like that would cross a line for Rosh.
While he didn't consider himself a good person, after all, he had sold fruits to individuals like Kingpin, Wesley, and Elektra, The Hand was on a completely different level. The Hand had orchestrated deadly events throughout history, including plagues and earthquakes that wiped out entire cities, and they had done it more than once. They were truly a force of pure evil.
Selling a Devil Fruit to someone like that? Now, that would be a real crime.
