"Take this, you Heleen bastard!"
Vier takes out her frustration about their Adventurers Party name, Dwarf Cat-eared Elf, by calling the group of monsters they're currently fighting using Heleen's name.
The monsters they're currently fighting are called Sword Horned Beetles. A Rank 2 monster which can be found at the rock trench area inside the Rank C Forest Valley Dungeon.
Sword Horned Beetle monster has Wind Attributes along with some of the usual Magic skills like Wind Blade, Wind Barrier, or Dash Sprint. It's a type of monster that can fight mid-air and move at incredible speed to impale its opponent using its sword horn.
The usual strategy of Adventurers in fighting the Sword Horned Beetle monster is to immobilize it at the start of the fight before they can dash mid-air.
That is why Vier's initial strike is throwing her Magic Item called Sound Grenade, which can release a screeching sound for a few seconds to stun the four Sword Horned Beetles ten meters away from where their group is hiding.
...SCREECCHHH!!!...
The loud screeching sound made the four Sword-Horned Beetles fall to the ground. And before they could fly back mid-air, Mifumi followed up with an offensive Magic skill.
"Flame Arrow Barrage!"
Using the Flame Arrow Magic skill of the Monster Core on her Sorceress Staff and her ability to control the Flame Attributes, Mifumi multiplied the single Flame Arrow skill, creating a dozen Flame Arrow and shooting all of them toward the four Sword Horned Beetles.
...BURST!...
Mifumi's Flame Arrow Barrage manages to bring down three of the four Sword Horned Beetles, leaving only the leader, the largest among the four monsters, standing on the ground.
"Finish the boss Heleen, Felin!"
Vier, still calling the Sword Horned Beetle as Heleen, gives the signal for Felin to go fight in close-quarter combat.
"Mhm!... Lightning Beast Form - Lightning Flash!"
With a movement speed as fast as lightning, Felin race the ten meters distance in a blink of an eye and appears mid-air above the boss Sword Horned Beetle.
"Lightning Beast Form - Lightning Strike!"
Felin's next move is to imbue Lightning Attribute into her Dagger at her right hand and pierce the body of the boss Sword Horned Beetle from above.
...BOOM!...
As Felin's Dagger pierces the body of the boss Sword Horned Beetle, the Lighting Attribute imbue into her Dagger explodes, burning the monster's body from the inside. And at the same time, ending the fight.
After Felin's overwhelming victory against the boss Sword Horned Beetle, Vier and Mifumi approach Felin and the remnants of the four Sword Horned Beetles.
"Take that, Heleen bastard!"
"I know you're mad about our Adventurers Party name, but please stop bad-mouthing Heleen, Vier-chan."
"Mhm!... Don't bad-mouth, Vier."
"But she lied to us! She and the others took all the Hair Color Potions yet she still didn't change our Adventurers Party name to Black Ops."
"We can talk to her later. Just forget about that for now and focus on the exam."

.
Before the Adventurers Academy Admission Exam started in the early morning, Vier, along with Felin and Mifumi, tried to complain to the members of the Guild staff in charge of managing the exam about their Adventurers Party name.
The three of them went to the makeshift tent used as an office by the Guild staff and prepared all their complaints, not only about the Dwarf Cat-eared Elf name but also about the incident about the Hair Color Potions.
Yet after going inside the makeshift tent, the one they found to be in charge of the exam is none other than their beloved teacher and Mifumi's grandmother, the Half-Elf Misaki Greendale.
When Misaki saw their group especially Vier, she just started laughing along with the other Guild staff inside the makeshift tent.
...PFFT!!! HAHAHA!!!...
"Don't laugh!!!"
Vier, with her angry red maple leaf face, shouts in rage in response to the teasing of her beloved teacher and other Guild staff.
"Where is that Heleen bastard? Show her!"
"Ms. Heleen went on a Guild quest outside the town early this morning and she won't be back until next week."
One of the Guild staff inside the makeshift tent answers Vier's inquiry for Heleen.
"That bastard abandoned her duty and escaped. Damnit!"
"Hey!... Watch that mouth of yours if you don't want me to hang you on your feet again, Vier-chan."
"Ugh!..."
At Misaki's warning, which sounds more of a threat to her, Vier is unable to talk back to her beloved teacher, much less say anything against Heleen.
With Vier already losing even before the argument starts, Mifumi steps up in front and explains to her grandmother about their demand to change their Adventurers Party name from Dwarf Cat-eared Elf to Black Ops.
But even after Misaki listens to all the explanations said by her granddaughter, she still rejects Mifumi's demand to change their Adventurers Party name as she explains the reason why it can't be changed anymore.
"Your Adventurers Party name, Dwarf Cat-eared Elf, was already registered to the Adventurers Academy record as your official name. You won't be able to change it the moment you pass the Admission Exam. Not unless your group is planning to fail this exam."
With the last remark said by Misaki, Vier was left with no option but to accept the name Dwarf Cat-eared Elf along with the mascot drawn based on her.

At the end of the conversation about their Adventurers Party name, Misaki threw Vier, Felin, and Mifumi outside of the temporary tent and told them to gather in front of the makeshift stage because the briefing for the exam was about to begin.
The Dwarf Cat-eared Elf, as their official name, heads towards the makeshift stage.
However, when they arrive at the gathering of all the Adventurers, Vier starts to feel something weird. She felt an odd feeling like someone was definitely staring at her. Yet when she looks around, she's unable to find anyone looking at her.
Felin and Mifumi immediately notice Vier's unusual behavior.
"Is something wrong, Vier-chan?"
"Is there a ghost around, Vier?"
"I don't know, Mifumi-sama. I just got this odd feeling out of nowhere. And please don't speak of ghost, Felin. Or else, they will start to appear."
Disregarding the odd feeling as best as she can, Vier, together with Felin and Mifumi, joins the gathering of all the Adventurers.
Once all the Adventurers taking the exam have gathered in front of the makeshift stage, the briefing for the exam begins.
Misaki, the one in charge of managing the exam, stand in front of the stage while holding a microphone like Magic Item.
"Look Acier-chan, it's the Black Elf Sorceress."
"Please stop with that admiration already, Nerna-sama. You already saw Ms. Misaki when we introduced ourselves upon arriving at Green Dale town and when we registered for the exam."
"But it's only the third time. I still feel mesmerized every time I see Misaki-sama."
Vier, who's listening to this conversation between the two young girl Adventurers, can only laugh at the thought of her beloved teacher's true personality.
...If you only know how scary Misaki-sensei is when she's mad and how annoying she is when she's drunk, then that admiration will disappear like a bubble popping out in thin air...
As Vier is making fun of her beloved teacher in her mind, she suddenly feels a murderous intent directed towards her.
"Ugh!..."
Vier got startled. When she looked towards the source of that murderous intent, she found Misaki at the makeshift stage glaring at her.
"Please stop thinking stupid things about grandma, Vier-chan. Or else, you will get punished after the exam."
"Mhm!... Stop thinking stupid things, Vier."
"How did you know, Mifumi-sama, Felin?"
"Well, you have your stupid face whenever you're thinking something stupid."
"Mhm!... Vier's stupid face."
As Mifumi and Felin explain to Vier what her stupid face looks like, Misaki finally starts with the briefing for the exam.
"Gather your attention, everyone! I will only explain the rules of the Admission Exam once! So listen carefully!...
...Look at this round map! Every group will start at the entry point that corresponds to the number your group will get from this box!...
...Every group needs to accomplish two goals to pass the exam!...
...First is to reach the Soldiers Outpost town on the other side of the Forest Valley Dungeon within 48 hours!...
...Second is to gain 10 points by collecting the Monster Cores that are included in the list at the back of the map provided by the Guild!...
...Don't even think about sabotaging the other group. If it's proven that anyone does that, your group will be disqualified even if you complete all your goals!...
...Once you're inside the Dungeon, it's your own decision as to which pathway your group will take. You can take the longest path of the Outer-Layer or a much shorter path of the Middle-Layer!...
...But listen to this warning, everyone! Think twice before you decide to enter the Inner-Layer and don't even try to challenge the Dungeon Guardian. No one in this group is capable of winning against the Forest Valley's Dungeon Guardian!...
...I want to remind everyone that the Guild won't be held responsible even if someone dies during this exam! You all decide to be an adventurer on your own! You all should be aware of the risks and dangers that come with this profession! Do all of you understand!"
...WE UNDERSTAND!!!...
.
.
.
After half a day of traveling inside the Outer-Layer, which is the rock trench area, the Dwarf Cat-eared Elf encounters their first opponent, the group of Sword Horned Beetles monster.
With an overwhelming victory, Vier, Felin, and Mifumi dismantled the remnants of the four Sword Horned Beetles for their Monster Cores and sword horns.
Then the Dwarf Cat-eared Elf continues heading towards the Middle-Layer, the forest area inside the Forest Valley Dungeon, where more stronger monsters are waiting for their group.
