Chapter 15 - 15 I don't know what happened

Just as I was about to close my eyes, someone startled me awake. My body jolted from the loud noise. I quickly got up and looked outside to see what was happening. When I saw who was causing the commotion, I sighed. It was Khane, and he seemed to still be angry, expressing it through his actions.

"Khane?" I called out, but he ignored me.

Khane walked with a cold expression. His anger seemed to emanate, palpable to everyone around.

It wasn't just me who was shocked by Khane's actions. All the servants who heard the noise came out and bowed their heads when they realized who it was. Khane walked heavily, and I noticed a mark on his hand, though I wasn't sure if it was a tattoo or a wound.

"What happened?" I asked softly, hoping Khane wouldn't hear.

Khane was still wearing his white shirt, and although the tattoo on his body was faint, I could see it. Not only that, but I could also see his well-defined muscles.

I didn't know where he had come from, but I felt uneasy every time I saw Khane with such a menacing aura. It was frightening and made me think about it more deeply.

His eyes showed deep frustration. His movements seemed stiff, as if something heavy was restraining him. Even without speaking, Khane looked intimidating to everyone.

As my eyes met his face, I realized Khane was staring at me too. Unfortunately, his gaze was too frightening and made me look away again. I knew he wouldn't care about anyone in this state.

His anger was truly abnormal, and it made me wonder. Where could I find answers if he wouldn't speak?

His attitude was so painful, especially for me, who had been bought at a high price but now didn't know my position here.

Khane returned to his arrogant demeanor, dismissing all the servants in his way. Although I knew he would likely dismiss me as well, I hoped that wouldn't happen if I behaved properly.

Khane approached closer, and as he passed by me, I saw the scratch on his hand. I immediately reached for Khane's hand to check it. However, Khane shoved me away, almost causing me to fall.

"Get the first aid kit!" Khane ordered sharply, causing the servants to jump and move quickly to fetch the medical kit.

"Sir, let me see it," I said, but he still ignored me.

I felt hurt by Khane's disregard. It seemed he considered me invisible, as there was no additional response from him.

I didn't give up. I reached for his hand again, trying to assess the wound. He swatted my hand away forcefully, making me feel the pain. Despite my numb hand from his actions, I didn't give up easily. If Khane had a head as hard as a rock, then I would be the wave wearing it down slowly. Every cold and rigid attitude has a crack; I just needed to understand how to ease the situation.

"Ugh!" I sighed when Khane pushed me away again. I exhaled roughly; he was wrong if he thought I would give up so easily.

His steps halted for a moment, then he looked at me sharply. It was better for him to look like this in front of me than for me to feel lonely when he wasn't around.

"Go away! Don't come near me!" he said firmly. Khane sat in the lounge with one hand pressing around the wound to stop the bleeding.

His words indicated that he didn't want to appear weak in front of me. But he wouldn't be able to treat himself alone. I knew Khane needed help.

Khane reached for the first aid kit provided by a servant. He tried to treat the wound himself. I saw Khane struggling to clean the area where fresh blood was still flowing from the injury.

I approached him again, but once more, he swatted my hand away. Khane was indeed very stubborn, but I was sure he had another side to him. I reached for his hand again.

"I can do it myself. I don't want someone who hates me to help." Khane's words made me realize he was hurt by what I said in the car.

I was a bit surprised by his words. I didn't feel like I had said anything hateful to him. But why did he speak as if I had?

"Sir, I never said or showed such feelings. Is there something wrong with me?" I asked, trying to reach his heart.

I didn't think there was hate in my feelings. I was sure because I was the one who felt it.

Slowly, I reached for his hand again and took a cloth to clean the dried blood. While my hand moved slowly, I tried to look into Khane's eyes. I wanted to understand what I truly felt when seeing him. It certainly wasn't hatred but fear because I was with someone I had just met. It was a natural feeling, I thought.

"Remove your hand from me!" he said firmly and with rejection.

"Sir, let me—" My words were cut off as Khane threw the cloth I was using to clean his wound away.

It seemed different from the words Khane had spoken. Should I explain it? I was afraid he would refuse. But I would feel like a coward if I didn't show it.

I stood up and grabbed the cloth again. I mustered the courage to approach him, gently taking his hand. I carefully wiped the wound that was causing him pain. I knew it hurt, but Khane was very good at hiding that pain.

"I don't hate you, Sir. Really, there is no hatred as you say." Khane began to let me treat his wound.

After I cleaned the blood around the wound, I started bandaging it.

Yes … Khane began to calm down; he allowed me to treat him. During the process, Khane didn't say a word after hearing my response. I was sure Khane understood every word I had spoken.

I could feel Khane's gaze still on me. However, I didn't look back as I needed to focus on his wound.

Before long, I heard the doorbell ring. Someone was arriving, but I didn't know who, until a servant informed Khane of the visitor.

Khane immediately stood up and left me to greet the guest. I was unsure whether to ask or not.

At that moment, I saw a beautiful woman entering the penthouse. She was close to Khane, even too close, raising questions in my mind that I wanted to ask.

"Who is that woman? She's so beautiful, and… it seems she is very close to Khane."
