Chapter 247 - Chapter 245: The Manifestation of the Yellow Light and the Parallax Monster? Locked Up as a Pet for You!

The Parallax Monster roared in fury as its tentacles, previously severed, instantly regenerated and lashed out wildly at Su Sheng. Waves of appendages crashed down, desperate to crush him.

Suddenly, bright azure lightning flared as Su Sheng activated the Divine Speed Force. The sheer speed and intensity of his movements were enough to make The Flash, observing from a distance, think wryly, Is he showing me up? Or even Superman?

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The blue lightning zigzagged around the Parallax Monster, and in the blink of an eye, red heat rays from all directions converged on the massive creature. It seemed as if countless Su Shengs were attacking simultaneously.

Boom!

A blinding explosion illuminated the battlefield, followed by a thunderous crash. When the dust settled, the Parallax Monster had been torn apart, its flesh and blood scattered across the area. Superman descended next to The Flash as Batman appeared quietly beside them. The three heroes stood in silent awe, watching the aftermath of Su Sheng's attack.

They were speechless. Not because they didn't want to speak—but because they couldn't. The display of power was too overwhelming to process.

"Is... is it dead?" The Flash finally whispered, breaking the silence.

"I doubt it," Batman muttered, his sharp eyes fixed on Su Sheng. If the Parallax Monster was truly dead, Su Sheng wouldn't still be standing there like that.

The Parallax Monster was a fear entity, an immensely powerful force of the Yellow Lantern Corps. It wasn't going to die so easily.

As they watched, Su Sheng remained calm, seemingly tinkering with something in his hands. Meanwhile, the scattered pieces of the Parallax Monster's flesh and blood began to reform, slowly pulling themselves back together.

Ten seconds later, the Parallax Monster reassembled.

"It's done," Su Sheng murmured, glancing down at his hand with a smile. A yellow ring now adorned his finger, though its design was slightly different from the standard Lantern rings. Su Sheng had inscribed his own sigil upon it. As the yellow light of the ring glowed, he raised his hand, focusing on the freshly reformed Parallax Monster.

A bright beam of yellow energy shot forth from the ring, materializing into a massive fist that crashed into the Parallax Monster with a deafening impact.

Boom!

The Parallax Monster blocked the attack with its tentacles, but for a brief moment, it looked stunned, as if confused by the familiar energy.

Is this... the same power as mine? the Parallax seemed to wonder.

But Su Sheng was unfazed. The energy fist quickly morphed into a long sword, slashing down with precision.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The sword clanged against the monster's tentacles, but after a series of strikes, the appendages were severed once again, and the sword cleaved straight through the Parallax Monster's body.

Puff!

The Parallax was split in two, collapsing to the ground in a heap.

Su Sheng withdrew the energy from his ring, but a second later, he re-manifested it, now focusing on a new creation. Powered by the fear energy, the ring began to emit an aura of infinite potential. Slowly, a glowing object took shape in front of him—a bottle, almost like a drifting message in a bottle, floating within the glowing mass of energy.

When the creation process was complete, Su Sheng smiled in satisfaction. "It's like creating something from nothing, as if making it real." He glanced at the Parallax Monster, whose two halves had already begun to reassemble themselves once more. "This power could rival that of Ion after merging with the Green Lantern Beast," Su Sheng mused, referring to the ultimate Green Lantern form. "But since I copied the abilities of a Lantern Beast, the Parallax Monster, it makes sense that I can do this."

With a casual flick of his wrist, Su Sheng manifested a massive yellow energy net, trapping the Parallax Monster inside.

"Is he... trying to catch that thing?" The Flash asked, astonished. "Even if he can catch it, where's he going to put it?"

"Big?" Su Sheng overheard The Flash's words with his enhanced hearing and smiled faintly. He pointed at the light energy containing the Parallax Monster. Instantly, the beam tightened, and the monster began to shrink.

Boom!

The Parallax Monster's massive form rapidly diminished, shrinking down to the size of a small pet. Su Sheng grabbed the tiny creature with one hand and tossed it into the bottle he had just created. The Flash could hardly believe what he was seeing as Su Sheng capped the bottle, casually sealing the fear entity inside.

"Is this... safe?" Batman asked warily, watching the Parallax Monster squirm inside the bottle. "This thing is dangerous, Su Sheng. What are you going to do with it?"

Su Sheng glanced at Harley Quinn, who was skipping over with a smile, and handed her the bottle. "Don't you think it's cute? It's yours."

Harley's eyes lit up with glee. "I love you to death!" she squealed, leaping into Su Sheng's arms and hugging him tightly.

The surrounding heroes couldn't help but exchange uncomfortable glances. As Harley began to playfully shake the bottle, teasing the Parallax Monster inside, Batman's face hardened.

"I can't let you give her something so dangerous," Batman said firmly. "If she releases it, the damage could be catastrophic."

"You're right," Su Sheng nodded with mock seriousness. "But... what does that have to do with me?"

Batman's expression didn't change—he had expected this response. "She's in danger too."

"I'm not scared!" Harley chimed in, twirling the bottle in her hands. "It's my pet. It won't hurt me, will it?" She teased the Parallax Monster inside, clearly amused by her new "pet."

Su Sheng shrugged, his message clear: he wasn't going to interfere.

The battle over, Superman shot off into the sky with a powerful burst, leaving without a word.

"I guess I'll head back to Central City," The Flash muttered, disappearing with a streak of lightning.

Helicopters and military forces began to arrive as the Raptor team, Batgirl, and other heroes quietly slipped away to avoid any entanglements with the government.

"I found some clues related to this creature," Batman said quietly, turning to Su Sheng. "I'll investigate further. I'll contact you when I have more information."

With that, Batman fired his grappling hook, vanishing into the shadows. Moments later, a Batplane soared off into the distance.
