Chapter 191 - Chapter 190: Dangerous? Supergirl, the People Around You Are the Most Dangerous!

Zizizi!

Zizizi!

Deep within the Earth's crust, the Martian Manhunter, in a phased state, unleashed laser rays to fuse the split Earth back together. Meanwhile, at the planet's poles, Superman and Astra pushed with all their might, trying to realign the fractured world. The process was slow and arduous, but the Kryptonian strength, despite being somewhat diminished on Earth, proved to be incredibly effective. In a moment where the Earth teetered on the brink of destruction, their combined efforts shone brightly.

At such a critical juncture, both heroes and villains focused solely on one goal:

To save the Earth!

Boom!

A silent, yet powerful force shook the Earth once more, followed by a long moment of stillness. The Martian Manhunter emerged from the ground, collapsing in exhaustion.

"Did it work?" Alex asked urgently.

The Martian Manhunter nodded weakly.

"Phew!"

Everyone sighed in relief. The imminent threat of Earth's destruction had been averted.

"Superman went back to Metropolis to check on Lois Lane, and Astra left with the remaining Kryptonians," the Martian Manhunter said after catching his breath. Then, he turned his tired gaze to Su Sheng, who appeared completely at ease. "Do you realize the consequences your actions almost caused?"

Su Sheng just smiled.

"And do you realize the consequences of my punch?" Su Sheng raised his fist, and everyone around him tensed up instinctively.

It was no joke!

He had just shattered the Earth with one punch. Now that they had narrowly averted disaster, was he really going to do it again? The Martian Manhunter hesitated, and Alex nearly lunged at Su Sheng to prevent him from taking any further action.

But just then, a soft moan came from the distance.

"Uh-huh."

Supergirl stirred and slowly regained consciousness. Alex quickly released her hold on Su Sheng and rushed to her side, but Su Sheng was already there, smiling.

"Su, Su Sheng?" Supergirl asked in a daze as she saw him standing over her. "Why are you here? Where's Astra?"

"Astra's gone," Su Sheng replied, gently helping her up. "As for why I'm here, Alex asked me to come."

"Alex? Why would you bring Su Sheng here? It's so dangerous!" Supergirl instinctively said to Alex.

Dangerous? The people around you are the most dangerous!

Watching Supergirl, who was completely unaware of the truth, Alex felt an urge to tell her everything but held back. Whatever Su Sheng's reasons were for keeping the truth from Supergirl, Alex didn't dare reveal it. Initially, Alex had been worried about Doomsday, but now, Su Sheng seemed to be the real threat. After witnessing him punch a Kryptonian and fracture the Earth, Alex was genuinely afraid of him!

She knew well that the reason the Martian Manhunter and Superman had been able to save the Earth was that Su Sheng hadn't actually intended to destroy it. Otherwise, even if they had the means, they wouldn't have had the opportunity. In the end, Alex felt that Su Sheng didn't care about any of it. Otherwise, no amount of persuasion or even seduction would have made any difference.

Alex remained silent, and the strange expressions of those around them piqued Supergirl's curiosity. "What happened after I passed out? Why did Astra leave? And where did Iron Man go? I feel like I missed a lot."

"Yeah, you almost missed the Earth being destroyed," Alex thought to herself, but aloud she said, "Iron Man defeated Astra and then... he left. It's nothing to worry about. How do you feel?"

"I'm fine, just a little tired," Supergirl replied.

Alex had concealed Su Sheng's identity as Iron Man, and the others, following her lead, kept their silence. Su Sheng had already given them more "surprises" than they could handle, and they were still trying to process everything.

"Where's General Sam Lane? Have you found him yet?" Supergirl asked again.

"We haven't heard anything yet, but we'll keep looking. You should go back to the base and get checked out," Alex suggested.

"I'm going to soak up some sunlight. That'll help me recover faster!" Supergirl said, preparing to take off.

"..."

"What's wrong?" Alex asked, noticing Supergirl's hesitation.

"I... I can't fly. My powers... they're gone!" Supergirl said in a panic, her eyes wide with fear.

"You've overexerted yourself. Use the equipment at the DEO to regain some energy first, then go out into the sun," the Martian Manhunter advised.

Supergirl was silent for a moment.

Alex looked at her, then at the Martian Manhunter, and spoke seriously. "We're not done here, but for now, I need your help. You know the Kryptonians better than anyone, and you understand the situation at the DEO."

"As long as you still trust me," the Martian Manhunter replied.

"Let's go!" Alex helped Supergirl away from Su Sheng and led her back into the base.

"What about you?" Supergirl asked Su Sheng as she was leaving.

"Don't worry about me. I'll head back on my own," Su Sheng said casually.

"Okay," Supergirl nodded and followed Alex, the Martian Manhunter, and the other agents inside.

As Su Sheng turned to leave, Lucy Lane stepped in front of him.

"Is something wrong?" Su Sheng raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "Oh, that's right. I almost forgot—you're either a lawyer or a soldier. So, are you going to sue me or arrest me? For destroying the Earth? I don't think there's a law for that yet!"

"Neither!" Lucy Lane shook her head. "I want to ask for your help in rescuing my father!"

The immense power Su Sheng had displayed, easily overwhelming Astra and the others and nearly destroying the Earth, had shifted Lucy Lane's perspective. Before, she had thought Superman was her only hope for saving her father. But now, considering Superman was busy saving Lois, and knowing that both were her relatives, Lucy couldn't blame Superman. However, her father was still in danger, and Su Sheng... he was her only hope now!

"I also want to give Jimmy a green hat." Su Sheng pouted, then activated the Speed Force and vanished in an instant.
