Chapter 183 - Chapter 182: The Debut of the New Uniform and the Super-Investigation Department

Excited, happy, and relaxed!

Kara couldn't quite put into words how she felt. No more excuses, no more lies, and no more worrying that Su Sheng would get angry or even break up with her if he found out her secret. Most importantly, he accepted her identity as Supergirl, allowing her to speak freely and openly with Su Sheng about anything.

She felt so happy!

She talked about Superman, Aunt Astra, and what happened to Krypton, among other things.

Before they knew it, the two had chatted the entire day away.

As the sun began to rise outside, Kara said apologetically, "Ah, you must be tired after chatting all night. Why don't you rest first? I have to go to work later."

"Alright," Su Sheng nodded with a smile.

There was no bed to sleep on, but Kara helped set up some cushions in the living room before she went to wash up and get ready for work.

After Kara left, Su Sheng lay down in the living room, reminiscing.

Not many women could leave him with such memories, and he was very satisfied with the earth-shattering encounter with Kara. He even felt fortunate that he pursued her instead of using other methods. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to enjoy Kara's genuine reactions. The complete autonomy and emotional investment she showed were incomparable to coercion or mental control. Her real emotions made the experience far more thrilling.

Boom!

Alex suddenly entered through the window, striding over to Su Sheng with a frown. "Let's talk."

"What's the result?" Su Sheng didn't bother to get up, merely glancing at Alex. She had been avoiding him for days, likely verifying the truth of what he had said earlier, unable to make up her mind.

"What else do you know about my father and Hank Henshaw?" Alex asked.

"Come here, lie down, and we'll talk," Su Sheng chuckled.

"Are you crazy?" Alex frowned. "You were just with Kara, and now you're making such a request to me? I'm her sister!"

"If not, do you think I'd bother with you?" Su Sheng retorted. "If you want to talk, lie down. If you don't, then don't disturb my sleep. Rolling around with your sister is exhausting. Do you think just anyone with a body of steel can handle it?"

"Asshole!" Alex gritted her teeth, but Su Sheng didn't react.

After a long hesitation, Alex finally lay down beside him. "I warn you, don't touch me, or I'll tell Kara about you."

"Childish!" Su Sheng shook his head. "What can you tell Kara? I've already won her over, haven't I? And what have I done that's so bad? I gave you a steel suit and told you about your father. I haven't done anything wrong! If I'm unhappy, you know the consequences."

Alex remained silent.

"I guess you're not in the mood to chat with me, and you're not interested in a pillow talk cameo. So, let's get straight to it. Any news about Indigo?" Su Sheng asked.

Alex shook her head. "No, the Super-Investigation Department has been searching for Indigo, but there are no leads."

"Too slow. I'll handle it my way." Su Sheng pouted. "Is the Nuclear Man still detained at the Super-Investigation Department?"

"What are you planning to do?" Alex asked, suddenly nervous.

"I need him for something, and… by the way, I'll help you discover the true identity of Hank Henshaw. But it may require a bit of sacrifice on your part," Su Sheng said, standing up abruptly. Alex watched as Su Sheng suddenly donned a battle suit—different from before.

Blue and white lightning flashed around the new blue and white suit. Was this the new suit?

Swish!

Azure lightning lit up the room, and before Alex could react, Su Sheng picked her up and leaped out the window. The azure lightning and the new suit complemented each other, creating an indescribable beauty.

Cool!

Though the new suit didn't increase speed, it could withstand the impact of higher speeds. The Speed Force activated, and when Alex regained her senses, she realized they had arrived at the Super-Investigation Department headquarters.

How did this happen?

Alex looked at Su Sheng in amazement and instinctively reached for her battle suit, only to find the ring missing.

An alarm sounded.

Countless agents rushed over with guns. Just as Alex was about to warn them, she saw the agents fall one by one, collapsing to the ground in the blink of an eye.

"You…" Alex was stunned. What kind of speed is this? The current fastest speed of Supergirl seems to be only Mach 2, but Su Sheng's speed was almost… almost impossible to calculate. How could his new suit be so fast? Where did his technology come from?

"Take me to see the Nuclear Man!" Su Sheng ordered Alex.

What could Alex do? Without her battle suit, she was just an ordinary agent, powerless, especially against Su Sheng's powerful new suit.

Alex led Su Sheng to the prison where the Nuclear Man was being held.

The Super-Investigation Department's prison was designed to detain aliens, equipped with high-end technology. When they reached the Nuclear Man, they found him still in his armor, though it seemed he couldn't activate his energy. The cell likely had some sort of restraining effect.

"Do you want to be free?" Su Sheng asked, standing in front of the cell.

"Do you want to keep going after Superman?"

The Nuclear Man eyed Su Sheng suspiciously. "Who are you?"

"Answer my question," Su Sheng replied coldly.

"Of course I do! Let me out, and I'll go after Supergirl first!" the Nuclear Man declared.

"Did you not understand me? I said Superman!" Su Sheng snapped. "It's clever to go after those close to Superman, but you should target someone even more important to him. Like…"

"Lois Lane!" the Nuclear Man interjected.

"Open the cell," Su Sheng ordered Alex without reacting to the name.

"I… I can't. You can't do this…" Alex began, but she found herself moving involuntarily, unlocking the cell.

Su Sheng released his mind control!
