"Sometimes it may be bigger," the Black Siren smiled and replied, clinging to Su Sheng's arm as they watched the police officers scream and writhe on the ground. "I know a good place. Would you like to come with me?"
"Sure," Su Sheng responded with a bright smile.
The Black Siren's eyes sparkled as she took Su Sheng's arm, her high heels clicking sharply on the pavement as they walked. Before long, she led him to a remote, abandoned factory. The warehouse was dark and eerie, and after winding through a few turns, they arrived at a particular room.
She opened the door.
The space inside was cramped, containing only a single bed and a few basic necessities.
"You live here?" Su Sheng asked, raising an eyebrow at the squalor. "It's a sad state of affairs for a criminal to be living like this."
"It's not by choice," the Black Siren said, shaking her head with a mix of frustration and resignation. "I'm not afraid of those useless cops, but ever since Zoom took over Central City, it's been a nightmare. He's been rounding up metahumans left and right, and even hiding out here wasn't enough to escape his reach. I've been planning to work for Zoom, but I didn't expect you to show up."
She moved closer to Su Sheng, her tone becoming more seductive. "You're much more appealing than that masked freak, Zoom. And... you're powerful."
"Echo, Deathstorm, Killer Frost—they're all Zoom's top lieutenants, and you took them down like they were nothing. And I noticed something else... You can copy other people's abilities, can't you?"
"There's a saying," Su Sheng replied, his tone cold, "Loose lips sink ships. Many people end up dead because they don't understand this simple truth."
The Black Siren's face paled, and she took a half-step back, forcing a nervous smile. "I'm sure others have noticed it too, and besides, it's not a bad thing, is it? With that kind of power, no one would dare mess with you—not even Zoom."
"So, you stopped me, asked for help, and now you're trying to cozy up to me?" Su Sheng observed, chuckling when he saw the Black Siren nodding anxiously. "I'm not interested in ruling Central City, and I don't need followers."
"Then take me with you!" The Black Siren took a deep breath, her voice filled with determination. "If you don't need subordinates, I'll leave. If you do, I'll be there to work for you."
She was smart. The Black Siren had pieced together the clues—Su Sheng's ability to copy powers, his reaction to seeing her, and the way he spoke of different worlds. She deduced that he wasn't from her world, and that alone made the risk of aligning herself with him worthwhile.
But Su Sheng just shook his head. "Still not interested."
The Black Siren's anxiety grew. "Not all of Zoom's followers are forced into it. Some choose to follow him because he's stronger than anyone else, and following the strong is a basic instinct. Even if you don't want followers, they'll keep showing up."
"Why does this feel like you're begging to be with me?" Su Sheng laughed.
"Yes, I am," the Black Siren admitted, stepping closer. She placed a hand on his chest and whispered, "If you need me, I'm here. If not, I'll go and never trouble you again."
Su Sheng brushed her hand off gently, causing the smile on her face to falter. "Sounds like you're trying to become my April 19th," he said, then added, "But I'm not interested in staying here. Let's go somewhere else."
The Black Siren blinked, surprised. Did he just agree? Before she could process it, the room filled with a flash of lightning, and they were suddenly standing in a brightly lit laboratory.
Harrison Wells looked up from his computer, surprised to see Su Sheng and the Black Siren appear out of nowhere. "That's not my daughter," he remarked dryly.
"Wishful thinking!" the Black Siren shot back, not missing a beat despite her confusion about the situation.
Harrison Wells ignored her, focusing on Su Sheng. "Is it done?" Su Sheng asked, walking over to look at the computer screen.
"Help me save my daughter, and I'll finish this for you," Harrison Wells said with a serious tone.
"Are you sure?" Su Sheng asked.
"Absolutely!" Harrison Wells replied with conviction. "If you don't save my daughter, even if you kill me, I won't help you."
Before he could say more, Su Sheng vanished.
"Start writing now, Doctor!" the Black Siren ordered. Although she didn't know what Su Sheng needed from Harrison Wells, she knew her role.
Harrison Wells hesitated but then continued typing, his head bowed in concentration.
In an instant, yellow lightning streaked across the central city and appeared at the edge of a cliff on the outskirts. Opposite the cliff was a taller, steeper incline. A mine entrance could be seen, but the equipment had been dismantled.
This was Zoom's lair, as depicted in the series, where Jesse and the Flash from Earth 3 had been held.
The gap between the cliffs was vast, with uneven angles. Crossing it without substantial equipment seemed nearly impossible, making it a secure location for imprisonment.
