Chapter 106 - Chapter 105: Stirring Up Chaos

"Reverse-Flash is planning something," Su Sheng mused, a sly grin forming on his face. He chuckled and turned to Felicity. "I know who's behind this. If he wants to play, I'm game. When are you heading back to Starling City?"

Felicity sighed. "I'll have to head back soon. You know how busy my 'job' is."

"Alright, I won't keep you then. But when you get back, there's something I need you to take care of for me," Su Sheng said, his tone growing more serious.

"What is it?" Felicity asked, curious.

Su Sheng leaned in close, whispering into her ear.

"What? You mean Dr. Harrison Wells? Is that even possible? Oh my God, okay. I'll head back now and get right on it. I'll let you know if I find anything," Felicity replied, stunned but determined.

"I'll be waiting for your update. And you can tell the others that their concerns will be dealt with later," Su Sheng added with a grin.

"Got it," Felicity nodded, and after a quick kiss, she left to pack up and head back to Starling City.

Reverse-Flash, whose real name is Eobard Thawne, had killed the real Harrison Wells and assumed his identity using future technology. His goal was to ensure Barry Allen became the Flash so that he could eventually siphon off Barry's Speed Force and return to his time. Incidentally, Iris West's boyfriend, Eddie Thawne, is an ancestor of Reverse-Flash. If Eddie were to die, Reverse-Flash would cease to exist.

But Su Sheng had no intention of going down that path. If Reverse-Flash wanted to cause trouble, Su Sheng would show him who the real troublemaker was. Thawne might think he was in control, but Su Sheng had other plans—plans that would ensure Thawne never made it back to his own time.

Su Sheng had tasked Felicity with finding the body of the real Harrison Wells. Though he couldn't remember its exact location, he knew the Birds of Prey could track it down. After all, there was nothing more satisfying than making something happen when someone else desperately wanted to avoid it.

Reverse-Flash's plan was likely to get Su Sheng away from Barry Allen, preventing him from interfering with Barry's development. But Su Sheng wasn't going to make it that easy.

"Sorry, Barry, but you're caught in the crossfire," Su Sheng thought to himself. He began to recall the various metahumans created by the particle accelerator explosion—villains like Multiplex, who could create infinite clones of himself; The Mist, a death row inmate who could turn into poisonous gas; and others like the Pied Piper, Captain Cold, and Heatwave. In the original timeline, these villains were all dealt with by Barry Allen. But what if they all struck at once?

Central City would be plunged into chaos.

Barry Allen would undoubtedly try to save the day, but he wouldn't stand a chance alone. And Reverse-Flash couldn't let anything happen to Barry either. Thawne would have no choice but to step in. How would Thawne maintain his disguise as Harrison Wells while saving Barry from these villains? What if the Birds of Prey found evidence linking him to the real Harrison Wells' death?

"Since we're going to cause some trouble, why not make it as big as possible?" Su Sheng thought, his mind racing. He began to consider the villains from Earth-2—Zoom (Hunter Zolomon), Sisko Ramon's doppelganger Reverb, Caitlin Snow's doppelganger Killer Frost, Ronnie Raymond's doppelganger Deathstorm, and others. Bringing these villains into the mix would make things even more chaotic. Even if Reverse-Flash and the Flash teamed up, they wouldn't stand a chance.

Su Sheng was certain that by the time he was done, Central City would be in complete disarray.

Meanwhile, Reverse-Flash had no idea that his actions had only fueled Su Sheng's desire to cause mayhem. He was simply relieved that he had made the decision to act quickly, especially after hearing that Su Sheng had nearly killed Barry Allen the previous night. Barry had escaped unharmed and even learned to run up buildings as a result, but what about next time?

Thawne had worked for years to ensure his plan's success, and he wasn't about to let anything derail it now.

He began training Barry Allen more aggressively, pushing him to increase his speed. Barry, driven by his desire to protect Iris, trained tirelessly with the help of "Harrison Wells," Sisko Ramon, and Caitlin Snow. With Reverse-Flash's guidance, Barry's speed improved rapidly.

During this time, Su Sheng seemed to vanish from the face of the earth. He didn't contact Caitlin Snow or interfere with Barry Allen's training.

But Su Sheng wasn't idle—he was gathering forces.

Having decided to stir up trouble, Su Sheng set out to recruit metahumans for his cause. While refining his control over the Speed Force to achieve even greater speeds, he tracked down several metahumans.

The first was Multiplex, a man who had been an organ cloning expert before the particle accelerator explosion. His research had been stolen by his company's president, and in desperation, he had experimented on himself. The explosion granted him the ability to create infinite clones of himself, but he lost his wife due to a failed organ transplant. When he sought revenge against the company president, Su Sheng found him and convinced him to join his cause—with his fists, of course.

The second metahuman was The Mist, a former hitman for a crime family who had been sentenced to death. The particle accelerator explosion had given him the ability to transform into hydrogen cyanide gas, which could kill anyone who inhaled it. Su Sheng used the Weather Wizard's powers to control the wind, trapping The Mist and wearing him down until he was forced to submit.

The third metahuman was Girder, who could turn his entire body into steel, similar to the Marvel character Colossus. When Su Sheng found him, Girder was still full of bravado, but one punch from Su Sheng was enough to put him in his place. Interestingly, Girder had gone to school with Barry Allen and had often bullied him. Their reunion would undoubtedly bring back some "fond" memories for Barry.

There were still two more metahumans Su Sheng wanted to find.

One of them was just fifty meters away.
