Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: Another Wonder Woman?

Diana had heard Su Sheng and the legendary team say many times that he would become Wonder Woman in the future. So when Su Sheng mentioned seeing Wonder Woman, Diana's first reaction was to point at herself. "Me? But I've been here the whole time."

"It's true that you are Wonder Woman, but that doesn't mean you're the only one. That's what makes this interesting—seeing another Wonder Woman here. Who is she? Where did she come from? I can't wait to figure out her identity." Su Sheng's lips curled into a slight smile, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Where did you see her?" Diana asked, now curious as well.

Su Sheng shook his head. "She's gone now, but since she's here, it won't be hard to find her. First, let's find a good place to watch."

"Maybe she's here to deal with Ares too?" Diana guessed.

"Who knows."

Su Sheng had originally planned to head straight to Ares, but now his plans had changed. He rented a room on the top floor of the highest hotel in the city. Under the envious gaze of the staff, Su Sheng led Diana and Riley up to their room.

"The view is great," Su Sheng said as he stood by the window, nodding in satisfaction. From this vantage point, they could see most of the city. If this other Wonder Woman was here to confront Ares, they should be able to spot her when the fight began.

He turned and pulled Riley, who was still curiously exploring the room, onto the bed. He removed her overcoat and undid the waistband, then loosened the ties on her clothes, letting them fall open.

Su Sheng toyed with Riley casually, chuckling toward Diana, who was still at the window. "This Wonder Woman must be connected to Paradise Island. I wonder if your mother, after leaving you with me, decided to become Wonder Woman herself to complete the mission. If she can defeat Ares, great; if not, at least you're safe, and you'll still have a chance to fulfill the mission."

"But my mother never mentioned anything like that," Diana said, turning her head. As soon as she did, she was met with an absurd scene on the bed. Just as she was about to speak, she saw Riley take the initiative, caressing Su Sheng.

"Don't go too far," Diana frowned and said sharply.

"Too far?" Su Sheng paused and looked at Riley.

Riley smiled sweetly. "Of course not."

Su Sheng grinned proudly. "You're allowed to dislike it, but don't push it, or else... I might do something truly excessive to you, though I've already done plenty." The golden Lasso of Truth glowed faintly.

Diana turned back to the window, silently staring out.

"I just love how you can't stand me but can't do anything about it," Su Sheng laughed lightly and rolled over, glancing at Riley, who eagerly climbed on top of him.

Devil's Voice!

That was the voice of the devil!

To Diana, this was more tormenting than Athena's repeated warnings in her mind. She wanted to turn away several times, but the fear that Su Sheng might think up some new form of torture kept her eyes locked on the scene outside the window.

Fortunately, she didn't know much about human society, so she wouldn't feel bored for a while.

But Su Sheng was a devil. He seemed to have guessed what Diana was thinking and decided to see who would break first: would she turn around or would he surrender to the temptation first?

Life can be dull sometimes, so you have to find little games to amuse yourself!

One hour passed...

Then two hours...

Su Sheng and Diana were at a standstill, but Riley was nearly exhausted.

"Enough!" Diana finally couldn't take it anymore and shouted. As soon as she did, Su Sheng seemed to snap out of it as if entering a sage-like state.

"I won!" Su Sheng said proudly.

"Childish!" Diana shot back coldly.

Su Sheng shrugged and got up, heading to the bathroom. This left only Diana, who was seething, and Riley, who was too drained to move. They exchanged glances, wide eyes meeting tired ones.

After a while, Su Sheng returned, humming an incomprehensible tune as he exited the shower.

He glanced at the now-sleeping Riley and then lay down, calling to Diana, "Want to join us?"

Diana's voice was icy. "I don't know why my mother thinks it's better for me to follow you, but if this is what I have to endure to get stronger, I'd rather give up!"

"I will find Ares and either defeat him or be defeated by him!"

Her resolve clear, Diana opened the door and left the room.

"I obey only myself," Su Sheng muttered to himself with a chuckle. "So there's no need to pretend to be a good person—just do what you want."

With another chuckle, Su Sheng pulled Riley close and lay down.

As for Diana?

He didn't care about her.

Night gradually fell, and the quiet was suddenly shattered by the sound of a distant explosion.

The noise startled the two sleeping figures awake.

In the dimly lit room, a bright light could be seen far in the distance, almost like it was illuminating the night.

"Where's Diana?" Riley mumbled, noticing her absence.

"She's gone," Su Sheng responded casually, getting up and moving to the window. One of Diana's abilities was super-perception, granted by Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. This enhanced her vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, giving her super sight, allowing her to see great distances and better lock onto targets with improved accuracy. It's how she could deflect bullets and lasers so precisely.

Even though the firelight was far away, Su Sheng could still see it clearly. His enhanced vision made it seem as though he was looking through a powerful telescope, bringing the scene right in front of him.

In the firelight, Su Sheng saw Wonder Woman battling fiercely with an old man—Ares, the god of war!

"This Wonder Woman really is here to fight Ares," Su Sheng muttered, watching with interest.

Her equipment resembled Diana's, and her weapon was a silver lasso similar to Diana's golden one. One gold, one silver? Who would believe Wonder Woman didn't have a thing for lassos? But she didn't seem weak; in fact, she appeared far stronger than an average Amazon. Not many would be qualified to replace Diana as Wonder Woman, so... was this Donna Troy?
