Darren's eyes widened in alarm as he shouted, "Luc!" and rushed to his friend's side.
Lucius's blood dripped from his hair, staining his face and the ground beneath him. Darren, overwhelmed by a surge of anger and fear, shot a furious look at Lira, who stood frozen in shock a few steps away.
"What the hell were you thinking?!" he yelled, his voice filled with anger.
"I—I didn't mean to… I'm so sorry," she stammered, her face pale with remorse. Slowly stepping forward, she added, "We need to get him to the infirmary… he's bleeding badly."
"Then go get help!" Darren commanded, his tone sharp as he tried to lift Lucius gently. "Come on, Luc, let's get you up."
Moments later, Lira returned, accompanied by Alistair, who looked as stoic as ever.
"Of all people, you brought him?" Darren asked Lira with a mix of frustration and distrust.
Lira glanced nervously between the two. "He said he could help."
