The next day was Saturday, Isabel moved sleepily from one end of the bed to the other. She yawned uncontrollably as she managed to get up and go to the bathroom.
Their flight back to LA would take off by 12pm. She hurriedly ran the cold shower over her body just so she would not miss breakfast as a result of waking up late.
She dried her hair and put on a flowery summer dress that her mom got her last year summer. She had only worn the dress once.
She was about to tie her hair up in a knot when she heard a soft knock on the door. She inhaled sharply as she walked towards the door, memories from the previous night flooding her mind because she knew who was at the door.
She opened the door gently enough not to show how nervous she felt.
"Good morning" Kine whispered with a contagious smile plastered on his face.
She blushed hard even after promising herself to act normal around him.
No one has ever had this effect on her.
"I brought breakfast for you , realized you were going to either be late or skip it" he said still smiling.
She hadn't noticed the food pack he was holding.
"Thank you" she said feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.
She stretched her hand to take the food pack from him but he hesitated.
"Can I come in?"
"Oh my bad! Yes please come in sir" she hurriedly moved aside so he could enter the room.
He set the food gently in a tray on the table. She watched him with keen interest as he served the toast and scrambled eggs with sausages.
"Now you can eat" he grinned as he served the tea.
His childlike grin melted her heart, she wanted to warp him up in her arms like a baby.
"Thank you" she muttered shyly.
For some reason unknown to her , she walked up to him and embraced him tightly. He stroked her head gently and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
But Isabel was not done , she brought her lips to his and he returned her kiss with equal passion and hunger. He picked her up and gently placed her on the bed, his fingers loosening the straps of her panties.
Before she knew what was happening, he was already working his tongue in her inner thighs down to her petals. She moaned softly holding his head down there with both hands.
"I want you so bad Kine" she groaned. "I want you so bad".
He kissed her belly button and took his tongue back to her petals.
"Kine please stop" she pleased like she suddenly came to her senses.
He looked her in the eyes, confused "why baby?"
She was going to remind him that he's engaged and they shouldn't be doing this but she shook her head and looked away "I'm sorry".
He pulled her in a tight embrace rocking her back and forth in an attempt to make her relax.
"You shouldn't apologize Isabel, I'm willing to wait until you're ready".
"And Kate?" She sighed.
He stroked her hair gently "can we not talk about that for now? Right now it's me and you and that's what matters to me".
Although she was not satisfied with his reply , she rested her head on his chest and allowed herself breathe.
Kine blinked trying to get the thought of Kate out of his head . He doesn't love her , the engagement was not even his idea.
So why does he have to live the rest of his life in regret. At the same time he wouldn't put Isabel in a tight situation. For the first time in a long while he felt so confused and helpless.
Since he met Isabel at the party , what he felt towards her was more than just mere likeness and he was very much aware.
He blessed the day she walked into his office as his new secretary.
And just then his phone rang , he excused himself to answer the phone after mouthing "my mom".
He stepped out to the balcony and she went ahead to have breakfast. The toast was cold but the eggs tasted great. She chewed the food bit by bit trying so hard to assure herself that she wasn't making a mistake.
She closed her eyes and swallowed hard.
Few hours later they were on the flight back to LA. They landed five hours later and she boarded a taxi home after refusing Kine's offer to drop her off at home.
He insisted that they stayed back in New York until Monday but she had politely refused even though she wanted to stay back and spend time with him so bad.
The taxi passed by the mall and what she saw made her jaw drop.
Entering the mall was Kate and a man Isabel could not identify, walking hand in hand.
What she saw next confused her , the man grabbed Kate by the butt as they made their way into the shopping mall.
She asked the taxi to stop pretending like she wanted to pick up some things at the mall.
"I'll be back in few minutes" she said with a smile and the driver nodded curtly.
She hurried in not wanting to miss them. She walked behind them quietly and watched with keen interest as they acted all booed up.
"What are you doing Isabel?" she thought to herself .
Whatever was going on is obviously none of her business. But she continued to walk towards them.
She stopped by the grocery stand and picked few things , she kept following them until they got to the hair product stand where Kate finally started to pick some things into her cart.
Isabel picked up a shampoo and pretended to sneeze . Kate looked at her and their eyes met , she immediately yanked the man's hand off her waist, shock written all over her face.
Isabel smirked and walked to the cashier to pay for the things she got. She felt this wicked wave of satisfaction wash through her.
She could feel Kate's eyes following her as she stepped out of the mall.
