The third man, who killed his mistress,
cried angrily.
"I will sacrifice you to my dead mistress."
Raising his axe to slice through
Ogunleye.
"Ogunleye dodged quickly,"
Obafemi shouted.
To their surprise, Ogunleye grabbed the
blade of the axe with his hand as the man
hit him with it.
"Is that all you have?"
Ogunleye said he gave the man a heavy
uppercut on the chin.
The force from the punch caused the
man's upper and lower jaws to crack as
he tossed away, causing his death.
"When will you be done with your
business?"
Ogunleye said to Obafemi.
This statement gets into Obafemi, which
makes him use his hidden move.
"Heavenly wind style, vortex drill."
As he drills through his opponent's
chest.
Heavenly wind style, vortex drill: this
technique works by releasing wind chi to
manipulate the wind around the hand,
forming a cone shape around the hand,
which is used to drill through their targets
as it continues to spin.
The last man who is still intact made a
run for it before Ogunleye and others
could realize it.
The first man who was attacked
committed suicide before they could get
information from him.
Ogunleye approaches the town lord,
lifting him up.
"Thank you, benefactors; I will surely
repay this debt."
The town Lord said.
"You don't need to thank me; I also have
some old grudges with them."
Ogunleye replied.
"Why are you been assaulted?"
Obafemi inquired.
"Why don't we all go inside to have a
proper discussion?"
The town Lord said.
They both agreed, following him into his
house. They all sit down around the
table, including the town lord's wife and
children, the town lord starts to explain.
"The lady and those men you killed
belong to a mountain bandit called 'the
axe mountain bandit'.Their name comes
from the fact that they all use axes as
weapons, and the lady you killed is the
bandit leader's wife."
He explained.
"Do you know where they leave?"
Obafemi inquired.
"Even if I tell you where their shelter is, it
is useless now."
The town lord replied.
"Why, is it useless?"
Ogunleye asked
"You see, there are four bandits in total in
all of the Orthodox region.
They always hold a meeting every ten
years, which they call the bandits
household meeting, and this year is the
end of another ten years."
The town lord said.
"So where do they always hold the
meeting?"
Ogunleye asked.
"The meeting is held in the northern part
of the Orisha peninsula; the town is
called Kwara town."
Upon hearing this, Obafemi was
shocked.
Did you just say they all gathered at
Kwara town for their meeting?"
Obafemi asked loudly.
This made the man a little bit scared.
"I'm sorry, I'm a bit carried away just
now."
Obafemi apologize.
"Yes,"he responded. Ogunleye signaled
to Obafemi to let them leave.
They both stand up to take their leave.
"We won't disturb you any longer; you all
need to relax as you are all tired from the
incident. They both said they were about
to leave when the town Lord suddenly
stopped them.
"Please accept this pouch each; it
contains one thousand gold coins each."
The town lord spoke eagerly.
"No, we can't; we really did this out of
good will."
Obafemi said.
"And I also have some grudges to settle
with them."
Ogunleye added.
"Please accept this; if you don't, I will be
able to face my kids and wife."
He pleaded. They both look in the
direction of his wife, and the wife nods in
response.
They both accept the money and leave.
On their way back.
"When did you meet those bandits and
their mistress?"
Obafemi inquired.
"Do you still remember when I came late
to the college, missing the college
entrance ceremony?"
Ogunleye asked.
"Yeah, I remember that. You were
brought to the class by the principal."
Obafemi said.
Ogunleye narrates his story, from how
he met them to what he had to pass
through before he could escape.
"Let go back to the inn before they
realize our absence."
Ogunleye reminded him. They both
dash towards the inn.
