Song Qingyu and her team were closing in on the fallen thug. He wasn't dead, struggling on the ground, blood pooling beneath him.
After a quick glance from Song Qingyu, two officers moved to restrain the thug. But just as they approached him, the thug, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, suddenly lunged toward Song Qingyu.
Song Qingyu reacted swiftly, stepping back and pulling the trigger. Another gunshot echoed, striking the thug between the eyes, blowing his head open. Blood and brains splattered around, a sight too horrendous to bear. The thug's eyes were wide open, fixed on Song Qingyu with a hideously twisted expression of fury and defiance, and even in his dying moment, he managed to claw at Song Qingyu's leg.
"Ah!"
Song Qingyu let out a piercing scream, clutching her leg, but her body started convulsing. Patches of purple began to spread across her face, and she fell to the ground.
