Within a few minutes, Liu Chen had successfully rescued both drowning victims and brought them ashore. The world isn't completely filled with cold indifference; many people at the shore lent a hand, lifting the two unconscious victims to safety.
Not far away, Qin Lu approached Liu Chen anxiously, handing him his clothes.
It was a cold night, and Qin Lu was worried that Liu Chen would catch a chill in his wet clothes.
"Liu Chen, are you alright?" Qin Lu asked with concern.
"I'm fine!" Only after confirming that Liu Chen was safe did Qin Lu turn her attention to the two drowning victims.
"They've both aspirated water and lost consciousness. They need artificial respiration immediately, or they could be in life-threatening danger. Leave the rest to me!"
Having glanced at Liu Chen, then at the two victims lying on the ground, Qin Lu spoke with a hint of detachment.
