Zhang Dongliang received a phone call from Liu Ying and hurried to Jinling Hospital. Upon arriving at Jinling Hospital, when Zhang Dongliang entered the private ward where Zhang Wei was supposed to be, he didn't see Zhang Wei. Instead, he saw Zhou Tian sitting outside the ward in the corridor.
"Where is Xiao Wei?"
Zhang Dongliang asked.
"Brother Wei has already been taken to the ICU."
Zhang Dongliang and Zhou Tian quickly made their way to the ICU and found Liu Ying sitting on a chair in the corridor, her eyes dull and listless. From the tear stains on her face, it was clear that she had just had a good cry.
"Xiao Ying, what's happened to Xiao Wei?"
Zhang Dongliang asked.
When her husband approached, Liu Ying hugged Zhang Dongliang and cried, "Xiao Wei might not have much longer to live."
"What?"
Zhang Dongliang could hardly believe it.
Wasn't it just asthma?
