Living with vigor and resolving enmities!
This was Tang Yi's heartfelt realization.
We cultivators, devote our lives to cultivation, but isn't it all just for 'living with vigor and resolving enmities'? To be unrestrained and to address our grudges with zest.
If one could live a life with such gusto, even if it were as fleeting as a firefly's, then what of it?
But if one were to live cautiously and fettered at every turn, then even if one's lifespan matched the heavens, would that not be a life suffocated with frustration, no better than that of a living turtle trapped inside its shell?
Having understood this point, Tang Yi suddenly realized that his state of mind had, in turn, uplifted, achieving great enlightenment.
This was another form of elevation in state of mind. Although in his previous life he was an Immortal Venerable, Tang Yi, like the vast majority of cultivators, sought after a life as long-lived as the heavens.
