There are two types of External Incarnations, one being the Incarnation, which can take on myriad forms. For example, some cultivate a plant that only blooms once every ten thousand years. Such a plant is naturally rare and has its unique uses, whether to enhance one's insight or improve one's innate qualities.
If you consume it directly as a medicinal ingredient, you can certainly benefit from it, but it's far less effective compared to slowly gaining benefits by using it as an Incarnation.
The other type is the Clone, which has specific limitations. For instance, plants, naturally rooted to the earth and immobile, could not possibly serve as Clones.
The ideal Clones are either formidable beasts of extraordinary races known for their attack power or mighty beings who dominate a territory on their own.
Refining such a being as your own Clone, you can fight alongside your original body, and with dual focus, the combined force is much more fierce than fighting solo.
