The wind whipped Zuki's hair as she stared at the sprawling cityscape of Glory City. It was a place she knew intimately, yet felt utterly alien. It had been years since she'd been reborn into this world, a world of cultivation and magic, where she'd landed as a powerless orphan on the outskirts of Glory City.

She'd spent those years honing her skills, learning to fight, to survive. She'd become a shadow, a whisper in the wind, her presence barely noticed. Yet, she held a strength within her, a power that lay dormant, waiting for a spark to ignite it.

That spark came in the form of a young woman, fleeing the city walls, her face streaked with tears. Her name was Ning'er, one of the nobles of the city, forced into an arranged marriage with a man she hates. Zuki, drawn by the desperation in her eyes, offered her shelter and a chance at freedom.

Zuki: "Well then isn't this interesting? A noble escaping the city? Into the dangerous outside?" Zuki lean against a broken down house against a brick wall that still stood. She smirks while looking at the girl in front of her.

Ning'er: "Please just let me leave, I don't want to fight right now."

Zuki: "That's a pity, seeing as how you have a to fight pretty much every second while outside the city walls. Demon Beast are everywhere, waiting to eat you alive."

Ning'er: "I know that already, but I can handle myself. Now can I leave?"

Zuki smiles at her and hold out her hand. This leads Ning'er to be on guard, but Zuki kept her hand out and her smile.

Zuki: "Name's Zuki Mizuno, first name Zuki. You can call me Zuki."

Ning'er: "I'm...Xiao Ning"

(Note: The original creator uses two different characters for "Xiao" . The character for Ning'er's original surname means "similar to", whereas her alias surname means "miserable or desolate")

Zuki: "Nice to meet you Ning'er. Yes I already know who you are. I lived in that city for awhile until I left and live outside the city."

Ning'er is shocked and on guard but she slowly lowers it after hearing what Zuki have to say.

Zuki: "You have never been outside before right? How about I come with you and show you to where I'm living. We can watch each other's backs."

Ning'er: "What do you want in return?" Ning'er look at her suspiciously.

Zuki: "Companionship. It gets boring being alone, plus it be safer than being alone."

Ning'er: "Alright. But I don't trust you, especially with that mask you have on."

Zuki: "Sounds reasonable. C'mon let's go before nighttime."

Ning'er: "Why the mask anyway?"

Zuki: "I don't feel like showing my face. I'll show you my face after we trust each other how about that?"

Ning'er: "Sounds reasonable..."

And so they travel together, going to Zuki's hidden living quarters.

Ning'er was a whirlwind of grace. She was a noble and a cultivator, yet she didn't know how to light a fire, how to hunt, how to defend herself. Zuki, with her rough-hewn hands and quiet strength, became her teacher, her guide, her protector.

They lived in a hidden valley, a sanctuary carved out of the wilderness. Zuki taught Ning'er to wield a sword, to move with the grace of a panther, to track prey and read the whispers of the wind. The days were filled with laughter and shared meals, the nights with stories under the stars. One day they met a guy who is called Nie Li who was from Glory City and they found out that it was destroyed and only a few managed to escape. He told his story and they told him theirs. The duo became a trio and they survived together.

Zuki, despite her power, couldn't access it fully. The world outside their haven was a dangerous place. One day, a horde of Demon Beast found their hiding place. Zuki fought with a ferocity that surprised even herself, but she was outnumbered. As a Demon Beast's tail blade plunged towards Ning'er, a surge of raw power erupted from Zuki. She moved faster than lightning, her body a blur of motion. The Demon Beasts were thrown back, their attacks useless against her fury.

But it was too late. A poisoned tail, aimed at Zuki, had found its mark, piercing Ning'er's heart due to her protecting Zuki from it. She fell, her eyes wide with pain. Zuki, her heart shattering, felt a surge of power unlike anything she'd ever known. It was a power that pulsed within her, a power that mirrored the love she had for Ning'er.

The Demon Beasts, paralyzed by fear.....fear? They felt fear? Zuki didn't dwell on it too long as she was focused on getting rid of them all. Zuki, cradling Ning'er in her arms, felt the life drain from her beloved. Tears streamed down her face, mixing with the rain that had begun to fall.

"I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice choked with grief. "I should have been stronger...."

A warm light enveloped them, and a voice, ancient and powerful, echoed in her mind. "Your love has awakened your true power, Zuki. Now, you must choose. Will you use it to avenge her and rid the world of Demon Beasts, or to protect the world from those who would seek to harm it?"

Zuki looked down at Ning'er, her face pale but serene. In that moment, she knew what she had to do. She would avenge Ning'er, she would rid the world of Demon Beast, and she would never forget the love that had awakened her true strength.

The rain washed away the blood, leaving a trail of sorrow and a promise of vengeance. Zuki, her eyes blazing with newfound power, knew that her journey had just begun.

Zuki: "Let's go, Nie Li." Zuki had buried Ning'er and put down a her mask revealing her bright red eye and bright purple eye.

Nie Li: "Don't you want to talk about it?"

Zuki: "She died. I couldn't protect her. Let's go." Zuki grab her stuff and started walking.

Zuki and Nie Li continued on traveling together. Nie Li eventually find the Temporal Demon Spirit Book, meanwhile Zuki learned more about her new found powers.

One day Zuki and Nie Li were targeted by the Sage Emperor, Nie Li was surrounded by six Deity Rank Demon Beast Generals while Zuki was trying to fight the Sage Emperor. In the end, Nie Li's cultivation was finally able to surpass that of the Sage Emperor, however by that point he had thoroughly lost all meaning to his own existence and died in unjust anguish.

Zuki: "Nie Li no!" Nie Li died and Zuki managed to kill the Sage Emperor or so she thought. She only managed to weaken him not fully killing him. As Zuki used up her last energy, she pointed at the Sage Emperor.

Zuki: "My name is Zuki Kyuketsuki. I'll come back and kill you over and over again no matter how many times it takes me, I will make sure you're fully dead."

And that was the last thing she said as she dies.....

"I can't believe you died already. I gave you a chance at another life and you went and died? Seriously?"

Zuki: "You make it sound like I choose to die."

"That is true, at least you unlocked your potential so the next time you return you'll be stronger. So go on out there and charm all those girls, make them into yuri!"

Zuki: "Seriously? What timeline am I going to now?"

"After Nie Li died his mind returned back to when he was 13, during that time you were 15, you got your memories when you were 13. Now you'll have all of your current and past memories right when you turn a year old so you have plenty of time to become stronger than you are right now."

Zuki:"Will I see Ning'er again?"

"Of course, you'll see her again just like how Nie Li saw Ziyun again. Now good luck, don't let me see you again so soon."

Zuki: "I'll do my best."
