I don't respond immediately, still trying to process how things have turned out this way. This person is none other than Alucard Freeman, the strange boy I encountered earlier during the examination test.
"Wait, I don't know what's going on here, but I don't want to be your roommate. Screw this!" I say, turning to leave the room. But his laughter stops me in my tracks.
"You're going to see Mr. Aji, aren't you? Let me guess—you're planning to ask him to change your roommate. Well, hate to break it to you, but that's not going to work. Unfortunately for you, this academy is corrupt. Even Mr. Aji won't be able to help," Alucard says with a cryptic expression.
"I thought you wanted to be an upper-class student. Why did you change? Don't tell me you bribed your way here just to be my roommate. Why?" I demand, my patience wearing thin.
