Closing time—the part of the day I usually look forward to. A small sliver of peace after hours of cooking, serving, and dodging the antics of my... colorful group of employees. I stood by the door, staring out into the night, my hands resting in my pockets as the last few customers trickled out. Behind me, I could hear the girls bustling around, clearing tables, putting chairs up, and making preparations for tomorrow. All of them were surprisingly cooperative today, and for once, there was no arguing. Maybe today really would end peacefully.
"Ray, should I put this sign here, or should I..." Ao's voice trailed off as she came up behind me, holding the "Closed" sign in her hands. I looked over my shoulder, giving her a small nod.
"Yeah, that's fine. Just put it up. We're done for the night."
