"It's already dark, huh?" I muttered the words under my breath, staring up at the night sky as the last traces of twilight melted into a sea of stars.
The day's events had stretched far longer than I'd expected.
I mean, spending hours learning how to dance in a fancy restaurant, pretending to be some high-society gentleman... it was almost laughable.
I couldn't believe I'd been roped into this ridiculous charade.
But as I thought back to the events of the day, I couldn't help but see the faces of Frostina, Ao, and even that haughty Takabana flashing through my mind—the way Frostina guided my clumsy movements, the laughter and teasing from Ao and Takabana.
A sigh escaped my lips.
"I've completely become their laughingstock, haven't I?" I whispered to no one in particular, shaking my head.
"I'm a very old man in soul, you know?" I added to myself, though a small smile tugged at the corners of my lips.
Maybe… maybe I was okay with it?
