"Hey my dumb step sister, I know you are not aware you signed the documents and now the company and everything else is not yours. Shocked right?" Annie said and laughed out mockingly.
Camilla was shocked and devastated, she had been treated so badly since all these years and now, they had taken away everything from her.
She couldn't even remember signing the documents how they did it she didn't know.
She was so helpless she couldn't do anything, her one and only fiance that had always been on her side, she caught him having sex with his sister.
Camilla rolled her face to all the figures standing at the room, and could see from their faces that none of them were on her side. Their faces lacked emotions.
"What are you all talking about?" She asked, still trying to digest what she had just heard as she swallowed hard.
"You heard us right, don't act dumb." Her Father roared. She couldn't understand why her father and her brother were supporting her stepmom daughter after everything they did to them.
Though her stepmother had passed away too.
She looked at her boyfriend who was standing and holding his hands so tightly with Annie, having hope that he might support her a little, but he stood there, his eyes devoid of emotions.
How will she possibly be expecting him to be on the side after cheating on her.
"With this and for the fact you have signed the documents, I am thrilled to announce that you are no longer needed in this house." Annie said and paused for Camilla's brain to process the information very well.
"You mean what? You can dare! This house is also mine, you have no right to send me away." Camilla said her blood boiled as pain surged through her bone marrow.
"Dear step sister, the house was yours. It is no longer yours. I hope you get that in your tiny skull." Anne said mockingly.
"How dare you? Camilla said her hands were almost landing on Annie's cheeks when a string held her hands tightly before it could land on Annie's cheek.
Camilla furrowed her eyebrows to check who had just held her hands. Low and behold it was no other person than her fiance.
"You think you are smart right? You are frustrated and I can see it but you won't dare pour it on me." Annie said and gave her a deadly gaze.
Just then her boyfriend dropped her hand forcefully. She was not shocked to see him acting this way.
"I don't blame you all, I will make sure I take my company from you all. All this wealth you all are dragging to take with me was given to me by my maternal grandfather so I won't do you all that favor of backing down." Camilla sneered as she looked at all of them on their faces.
"And how can a powerless talkative like you do that, you have to forget about the company and every other thing you can't have it." Cora, her own brother, dared to say.
"Take her out of here now!" Annie ordered the bodyguards of the mansion. They had been there all this while and had seen everything unfold.
"They won't dare!" Camilla said, giving them a deadly gaze.
"Take her out of here, I am now your boss and she is nothing but a helpless being." Annie snarled at them
"Do that fast and now!" Her father supported.
"You all can do this to me and go Scott free, I will make sure I strike back." She said as tears streamed down her eyes. She couldn't believe her father, her brother and also her boyfriend would do this to her.
These were the people she called family.
The bodyguards dragged her out of the house as she said all sorts of things to them.
Camilla stumbled out of the mansion, her heart heavy with betrayal and disbelief.
The chill of the night air cut through her, a stark contrast to the warmth she once felt within those walls.
Tears blurred her vision as she looked back at the imposing structure that had been her home for so long, now a symbol of treachery and loss.
"I'll find a way to take it all back," she muttered to herself, wiping away tears with trembling hands.
Determination surged through her, fueled by the injustice she had just endured. She knew reclaiming her company and her rightful place would not be easy, but she refused to let them win without a fight.
She wandered through the city streets, her mind racing with thoughts of revenge and survival.
Each step away from the mansion felt like a step closer to a new beginning, albeit one filled with uncertainty.
Her phone buzzed in her pocket, and she pulled it out to see a message from her best friend, Sarah.
"Where are you? I heard what happened. I'm coming to get you," the message read.
Camilla managed a weak smile. Despite everything, she still had allies, true friends who hadn't abandoned her in her darkest hour. Sarah's car pulled up beside her, and Camilla climbed in, grateful for the familiar presence.
"Are you okay?" Sarah asked gently, concern etched on her face.
Camilla shook her head, her voice catching as she recounted the events of the evening. Sarah listened intently, her expression hardening with each word.
"We'll figure this out, Cam. You're not alone in this," Sarah said firmly, squeezing Camilla's hand in reassurance.
With Sarah by her side, Camilla felt a glimmer of hope. They drove through the night, planning their next move. Sarah insisted they find legal counsel immediately to challenge the documents.
But Camilla insisted that she wants to travel out of the country. She wanted to go far away where she could clear her head.
"If you want to leave the country that would be okay, I support you." Sarah said and a smile escaped Camilla's lips.
"I will be going to the airport tomorrow, I can't stay here longer." Camilla told Sarah and she agreed to accompany her to the airport.
Camilla was going to come back for them and claim everything that belongs to her.
Her father, brother, ex-boyfriend and step-sister should be ready for her return.
