Immediately, Jidenna gulped down the last bit of his food, and Song Jia pounced on him like a hungry lioness.

"Tell me everything. Don't leave a single bit out," she demanded.

Scratch that—she wasn't a hungry lioness but a gossip-driven, starving lioness.

Jidenna could already imagine her drooling as she stared at him.

Jidenna yielded quickly a slight shiver went down his spine.

It was almost as though, if he didn't say anything in the next second Song Jia might pounce on him and tear him apart.

He opened his mouth and went on to narrate what happened.

After he was done, the first thing Song Jia said was, "No wonder I've suddenly been hearing about him like he's become a celebrity."

"Celebrity?" Jidenna asked back, thinking. He just got back from that place—how could someone possibly become a celebrity in such a short time?

Song Jia must be jesting again.
