As he lay on the bed, suddenly, like water out of a funnel, his strength drained, and a head-splitting migraine replaced it.
"Arrgh!" Jidenna clutched his head, his eyes shut tight, and his teeth ground together. He felt as though someone had used an axe to hit his head.
The pain radiated outwards. He rolled down from the bed, falling to the floor with a thud but didn't get up.
His back bent, his hands clutching his head, his knees bent almost to his stomach, and his face squeezed in pain.
Jidenna spent the next hours in that position like a statue, so much so that his mind shut down.
Jidenna's mind was consumed by a gaping darkness. He drifted off to sleep, his mind shutting down as a way of protecting and blocking off the excruciating ache that seemed to evolve into pain.
And this protection lasted until the next day.

Once again, like so many times before, Jidenna walked into the lecture hall for the Anatomy course.
