The formerly quiet room became noisy as people turned to their seatmates, chattering. But from the fragments Jidenna could hear, it was clear that more and more people were agreeing with the words of the course prefect.
He heard different words like, "That makes sense," "How come I never thought of it like that?"
Slowly, they evolved to, "I think in general, anatomy might no longer be that useful, don't you think so?"
"We now have X-rays and scans. What do we still need anatomy for? We could use this time to learn something that would help us in the future."
The constant buzzing in Jidenna's head almost made him think he was going crazy when the professor, still unperturbed, addressed the doubting students.
But when he heard his name, Jidenna thought it was a hallucination.
To the professor standing on the podium, the lone figure of Jidenna was attractive. He sat by himself, not joining in the fray like the rest.
