There's no way this is happening. Not to me! Not me of all people. I'm a magical genius.
I always find a way. Ughhh! She thought, as she struggled to keep coating her body with a fire spell in order to melt the ice around her.
The fire not only does not burn long enough to melt the ice that is enveloping her whole body, but it also causes her pain.
She's beginning to run out of breath.
Is this it? Am I truly going to perish like this?
Teleported inside an iceberg, running out of breath?
She started crying.
Please help me... someone... Anyone!
Mother, Bennet, Grand Archon, Yuna, Paul, where are you??
She felt herself drifting in and out of consciousness.
Please... save me...
Flashes of memories from her childhood suddenly ran through her mind. Her playing with her dolls along with another girl her age. Talking about how they'll meet their prince charming and get married in a beautiful wedding gown.
Ever since she was child, she's always fantasized about a comely prince saving her from peril and they end up marrying each other.
NO!
No one is coming to save you.
You've always pulled through on your own...
You must save yourself!
That's when it dawned on her that she could feel her tears running down her cheeks. That means the fire coating spell created some gap between her and the ice at the very least. But there's the matter of it burning her if she uses it again. Should she just keep on going and risk it?
No...
The fire could be sucking out my remaining air as well.
What do I need right now...?
Right now, I need to melt this fucking ice!
How does ice melt without fire...?
She remembered the winter when she was thirteen. She was playing in the snow with a stableboy named Bennet. She remembered how rude he was, having no shame about pulling out his cock in front of her, a highborn lady. Only to pee on the snowgoblin that she carefully molded. That was the first time she saw a cock, and the first time she saw snow melting so fast without magic. It even created steam that went to her face, and she found it so disgusting. That was five years ago now.
That's it. That's what I need!
Not pee, but water.
She gathered her mana and placed them around her. Visualized them spreading and creating a ball of spinning water that covers her entirety.
She's done this hundreds of times before, just for a different application.
Waterball is her favorite spell. She only needs to make it bigger than usual, enough to become a spinning dome. With her at the center.
It's working
More and more water created from her mana filled the slight gaps that the earlier fire spell had created. The melting ice is also providing her with more water, which hastened the process even more.
Now she just needs to make the water around her hotter.
She gathered more of her mana and visualized them fusing with the water around her. She adjusted the heat so that it wouldn't be enough to create boiling water. She just needed hot water, like what she bathes in almost daily.
IMBUE FIRE
The water around her glowed with an orange hue for a second and immediately started becoming hotter. Melting more ice around her and widening the gap between herself and the ice. Enlarging her dome.
It should be wide enough now.
She gathered mana towards her mouth and nose and visualized it transforming into air.
Wind Sphere!
She normally uses larger variants of this spell to blast enemies away, but this time she adjusted its speed and intensity so that it'll just be a small pocket of air for her nose and mouth to breathe in.
IT WORKS! She grinned. Releasing bubbles from the side of her mouth.
Keeping her Wind Sphere air pocket, she now adjusted the Waterball spell around her and made it spin faster.
When she noticed that the water was cooling off, she cast another round of Imbue Fire on it. The dome throbbed with an orange hue once more, as if it were alive.
The Waterball surrounding her now has a diameter of five meters and is spinning as fast as a falcon flies.
It ate through the remaining ice as if it were butter coming in contact with a hot knife.
As it finished completely melting the iceberg she was trapped in, it almost created a small whirlpool in the sea, which she easily stopped by adjusting the Waterball's speed and having it spin the opposite direction for a while.
She now released her spells with her head floating on the water, allowing her to breathe the free air.
"Hahahahahahaha!"
"Hahahhhahahahahahahaha!"
She laughed so proudly and with tears pouring from her eyes
I did it! I didn't fully believe it before, but I truly am a genius.
The prodigy of the middle kingdom.
Myrielle of House Fern!
"HAHAHAHAHAHA-- ack! urgh~"
She accidentally swallowed sea water from laughing so hard.
