Chapter 7 - Chapter-7: Uncle’s Family

The morning sun had barely peeked through the curtains when Aaron's phone rang, vibrating insistently on the nightstand. He groggily reached for it, blinking the sleep from his eyes. The name on the screen—"Uncle Joe"—prompted him to sit up, suddenly more awake. Sophie already left to her work leaving a note bedside, he smiled. Although Aaron had been an orphan for as long as he could remember, with no immediate family to rely on, Uncle Joe had always been there for him. During his high school years, Aaron had lived with his maternal uncle's family in Edmond, a small town where he found the care and support he desperately needed. It was because of them that he was able to attend university in Los Angeles.

"Hey, Uncle Joe, good morning," Aaron greeted, trying to stifle a yawn.

"Good morning, Aaron. I hope I didn't wake you," his uncle's warm voice came through the line.

"Not at all. What's up?"

"I wanted to let you know that Sally's coming to Los Angeles today. She should be landing around noon," Uncle Joe informed him.

"Sally's coming here?" Aaron repeated, surprised but pleased. Sally was Uncle Joe's only daughter, and Aaron had always seen her as his little sister. She was in her final year of high school, full of dreams and ambitions, one of which was finding the perfect university in Los Angeles.

"Yes, she's looking at universities, and we thought it'd be great if she could stay with you while she's there," Uncle Joe continued. "If it's not too much trouble."

"Of course, it's no trouble at all. I'd be happy to have her," Aaron assured him. "I'll make sure she has a great time."

"I knew I could count on you," Uncle Joe said, his voice full of gratitude. "She's really excited to see you. It's been a while."

"Yeah, it has," Aaron agreed. "Don't worry, Uncle Joe, I'll take good care of her."

After the call ended, Aaron leaned back against the headboard, his mind already racing with thoughts of Sally's visit. He remembered the last time he saw her, a sweet, innocent girl with a bright smile who had always looked up to him. He'd always wanted to spoil her, to give her everything she deserved, and now he had the means to do so.

Glancing out the window, Aaron considered the day ahead. His sports car, a sleek RR, was not exactly suited for chauffeuring his little sister around the city. He decided it was time for an upgrade, something more fitting for the occasion. After a quick shower and a light breakfast, Aaron made his way to a luxury car dealership. There, among the gleaming vehicles, he found exactly what he was looking for: a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a masterpiece of luxury and comfort. The price tag was a cool $10 million, but Aaron didn't bat an eye. He finalized the purchase, feeling a surge of excitement at the thought of Sally's reaction.

With the car situation sorted, Aaron's next task was to make sure their day together would be special. He booked a table at one of the most exclusive restaurants in Los Angeles, ensuring they would have the best dining experience the city had to offer. Everything had to be perfect for Sally's visit.

By 2:00 PM, Aaron was at the airport, waiting in the arrivals area. When Sally finally emerged, her eyes lit up as she spotted him. She was the same sweet girl he remembered, though a little more grown up now. But what astonished her even more was the sight of Aaron, dressed in designer clothes, and the gleaming Rolls-Royce Cullinan parked outside.

"Aaron!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around him in a tight hug. "I can't believe it's really you!"

"It's me, all right," Aaron grinned, hugging her back. "Welcome to Los Angeles, Sally."

She pulled back, looking at him with wide eyes. "How did you manage all this? The car, the clothes… I thought you were still looking for a job."

Aaron chuckled, ruffling her hair affectionately. "I made some smart investments a while back, and, well, they paid off. But enough about me—how was your flight?"

Sally was easily convinced, her trust in Aaron unwavering. She had always loved her cousin dearly, and whatever he said, she believed wholeheartedly.

The afternoon passed in a whirlwind of activity. Aaron took Sally to one of the city's finest shopping malls, where he spared no expense in dressing her up in the latest fashion. He delighted in seeing her eyes light up as she tried on designer dresses, shoes, and accessories, each one more beautiful than the last. For Aaron, this was more than just a shopping trip—it was a chance to finally give his sister the world.

Their next stop was a Rolex boutique, where Aaron insisted that Sally pick out a watch—or several, if she liked. "Money's no object," he told her and the sales associate, making it clear that even the limited editions were on the table.

Sally hesitated, overwhelmed by the luxury around her, but Aaron's encouragement won her over. She ended up choosing a beautiful watch that suited her perfectly, and Aaron couldn't have been happier.

As evening approached, they headed to the restaurant Aaron had reserved. The dinner was a feast fit for royalty, with every course more delicious than the last. They talked and laughed, catching up on everything they had missed in each other's lives. Aaron found himself genuinely enjoying the company of his little sister, who had grown into a bright and beautiful young woman.

When they finally returned to Aaron's apartment, Sally was once again astonished by what she saw. The luxurious space was a far cry from the modest home in Edmond, and she ran from room to room, exploring every corner.

"This place is amazing, Aaron!" she exclaimed, her excitement palpable.

Aaron laughed, watching her with amusement. "I'm glad you like it. And hey, if you want, I can customize a room just for you. That way, whenever you visit LA, you'll have a place of your own."

Sally's eyes sparkled at the idea. "Really? That would be awesome!"

"Really," Aaron confirmed. "You can have it however you want."

Exhausted but happy, Sally finally decided to rest. She and Aaron headed to their respective rooms, both content with the day they had shared.

As Aaron lay in bed, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of fulfillment. He had always wanted to take care of his family, to give them the best, and now he was finally in a position to do so. Sally's visit was just the beginning—there was so much more he wanted to do for her, and for Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary, who had given him so much when he had nothing.
