Melina glared at Owen, feeling more than a little irritated. If she weren't fully aware that she couldn't win a fight against him, she might have already taken a swing.
How could this man be so insufferable? She had come to warn him out of goodwill, and yet here he was, turning the tables on her!
"I'm leaving!"
Fuming, Melina gave Owen a swift kick and marched toward the door.
But just as she reached it, she realized Owen hadn't budged. He simply stood there, smiling at her.
"What's the matter? The door isn't locked. You can leave anytime you like."
"Owen!"
"I never pegged you as the type to get so worked up."
Owen smirked and waved her back. "Alright, stop sulking. Come sit down."
"You're such a pain!"
"Honestly, I wasn't entirely joking. House Rosewood isn't a real threat to me. If they want a fight, then a fight they'll get. But I'm not one to sit around and wait for them to come at me."
