As both Daniel and Anastasia chose to stay silent, Ashton grew mad. "I ask you, where did you hide my wife?!" He was ready to swing his punch towards Daniel when Anastasia suddenly opened her mouth.
"You…you killed my mom, right?" Anastasia glared at him. The anger, the sadness and the hatred she felt at that time couldn't be contained anymore. "And we hide your wife? You are hiding her from us?!"
Ashton froze, his fist mid-air as Anastasia's words hit him like a punch to the gut. He lowered his hand, his face contorted with anger and disbelief.
"What are you talking about?" Ashton snapped, his voice sharp. "I would never hurt Marleen. I had nothing to do with this!"
Anastasia's glare hardened, her body trembling. "You lied! I know it was you! I don't know what you want from us or why you hate us so much, but if you're responsible for my mom's death, I will make sure you're punished!"
