Riven could see the others wee getting agitated after Daniel spoke so he replied quickly;
"I only came here to ask for directions to the previous camp. I know I'm no more welcome here and I'm not here to try getting back in the group," Riven clarified.
'You all can address me anyway you want for now, it'll only be a matter of time before I get stronger,' Riven thought.
"You didn't have to come meet us again, go round the dome and you'll find a cleared out pathway we followed here. Follow the pathway back and you'll get there," Daniel stared at him for sometime and then answered.
'So I had to come back here just to find out the way back was this easy? I should've just told thought about it more,' Riven thought.
"Okay.. I'll be off then," Riven said.
He turned to find his way and heard someone say;
"Hope he gets killed by the beasts still lingering around that spot."
Riven acted as if he didn't hear and located the cleared path he was ought to follow.
'So there'll be beasts still around there. Is that why the system wants me to go there?' Riven thought.
Starting his walk towards the camp, Riven thought about how the others used their earth abilities and wind abilities to aid themselves in moving faster.
'I'll get all elements soon, it's only a matter of time,' Riven thought then started running towards his location, intending to finish the daily quest's 2km run.
The walk towards the camp took a lot of time than expected, as when Riven sighted the crumbled dome structure in the far distance, the sun was starting to go down.
[Time left-18:49:37]
'I used up almost 6 hours to get here, this must mean moving with the aid of elements increased one's speed a lot.'
'I can only imagine the amount of speed the beasts would have as they would've even caught up with us if Greg hadn't sacrificed himself to slow them.'
'And to hold off that amount of beats with that much speed too, means Greg was quite a strong person. This all just goes to show I cannot deal with a beast with my current state,' Riven sighed.
'But then how am I supposed to finish this daily quest?'
Riven brought up the system interface to see the daily quest section had been updated.
[Daily Quest]

50 sit-ups (50/50)
2km run (2/2)
Rewards:
-50sp
-2 stat points
Consequences for failure: -1 all stats
'And it's almost dark, I don't know how much weaker -1 to all my stats would make me but I'm not willing to grow any weaker than I am now, I have to find a way,' Riven was determined.
Soon Riven was at the edge of the structure. He tiptoed to a place enough to cover him and decided to scout the area without making any noise.
Slowly entering the wrecked building, Riven suddenly heard sounds of people talking and he peeped from behind the cover to take a look.
There, he saw two people, male and female with their backs faces away from him conversing.
"It doesn't seem like it's been that long since they left here. We should go back to report to the leader," the male said.
"Yeah, we should. It's been long since we met another group of people trying to survive. Maybe if we manage to track them down then both groups could join forces," the female said.
Riven continued looking at them from afar when he noticed a pile of ruble behind them moving as if it was reflected through water.
He stared at the spot for a while and the system interface came up.
[Warning! Monster detected!]
"I knew it. Watch out!" Riven screamed.
The duo hastily turned towards the source of the sound to see a lizard like beast lunge towards them.
Too stunned to even move, they started at the beast move towards them in a slashing motion.
Suddenly, a fireball with intense heat slammed into the creature and set it ablaze.
Riven stood with both his arms outstretched, now visible to the other two. He was staring at the system interface.

'I can now level up? And now I can see amount of system points. I should go to the store to see what 100sp is worth, or should I level up first?'
'How much mana did I even use to kill this thing?'
[MP-50/110]
'What! 60 mana points for a single fireball? How am I expected to fare in a fight against multiple beasts with this rate of expenditure?'
"Err... Sir?" A female voice sounded, stopping Riven's train of thought.
Riven then remembered the people he just saved, and realized if it wasn't for them that the monster was focused on, he wouldn't have been able to land a clean hit on the monster.
'It's because of them I'm able to finish this daily quest, I should be grateful to them... of course not, I wouldn't stoop so low as to thank people whom I practically just saved their lives. They should be the ones to thank me.'
"We're deeply grateful for you just saving our lives, sir. Thank you very much," the lady said again and they both bowed deeply, as if planning to kowtow.
'Yes, that's how it should be. You're the ones to be thanking me,' Riven smirked inwardly.
"If there's anything we could do to pay you back sir, we'll make sure we do. Thank you very much, were eternally grateful," The male said.
'This... they seem quite loyal. They're quite vulnerable, they'll be good tools,' Riven thought.
'I should find a way to use them.'
"You're both welcome... you," Riven turned to the male.
"You said you'd do anything to pay me back? Does that stand for the both of you?" Riven asked, focusing on the female.
She suddenly felt a sense of dread. 'Why did I suddenly start getting this feeling, he looks too young to make me feel like this.'
"Y-yes, I'll also do anything in my power to pay you back," she said.
'I can't go back on my words, he even seems as if he could take on both of us with that aura,' the lady thought.
"Alright then. I overheard you talking about a leader? That means you both are from a group of sorts. I want you to take me to your group," Riven said.
'This is to kill two birds with one stone. I would've tried absorbing one's affinity now but I'm not sure if I can take the both of them on,' Riven thought.
'It would be better if they take me to their settlement, then I'll see if I can absorb from someone else there.'
Riven looked at both of them;
"So?"
