Ye Chen touched his stubble and struck what he thought was his most charming pose since he noticed a group of women looking at him.
"Ye Chen!" Just then, Qin Lan emerged from a side room.
"All done?" Ye Chen raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I was whispering some secrets with Lan, sorry to have kept you waiting!" Chen Xiaohan appeared too, apologizing to Ye Chen with a smile.
Qin Lan and Chen Xiaohan talked a lot. After hearing about the things Ye Chen had been through, Chen Xiaohan felt a newfound respect for him.

"Where are we headed?" Ye Chen asked in surprise as Qin Lan drove away from the city.
"Taking you to someone who knows about the crocodile," Qin Lan said.
"Is this one person or a group? What kind of people are they?" Ye Chen asked.
"You'll find out once we get there!" Qin Lan wasn't willing to say more.
