"What's going on?"
"Why has the bus stopped?"

At that moment, all the students stood up, as it was clear the bus didn't stop normally.
"We're not there yet, but the bus has gotten stuck in a mud pit. Could some of you boys get off and help push?"
The driver called out to Lin Tian and the other boys since they were the only males on the bus.
Lin Tian and the others got off the bus and saw the rear wheels sunk into a large puddle.
"Fatty, it's your time to shine. Quick, lift the bus out."
"Come on, boys!"
A group of girls cheered them on, but Feng Jiabao and his friends didn't look too pleased.
Lifting the bus out of the mire wasn't easy with so many students still on board.
"Everyone off the bus, or they won't be able to push it."
The driver, quite experienced, told the girls to get off too.
"No need, the ground is all muck. You ladies would dirty your shoes. Stay on the bus, don't come down."
