Seeing Wu Shitong with tears streaming down her face like pear blossoms after a rain, Lin Chen suddenly felt a tinge of softness in his heart.
"Fine, I'll think about it," said Lin Chen as he stood up, drained his cup of coffee in one gulp.
"Thank you for the coffee." Lin Chen waved his hand and left the coffee shop without looking back.
Lin Chen did have a bit of a fondness for Wu Shitong; in his heart, she was a feisty and somewhat adorable girl. However, the ancient ruins were too dangerous; Wu Shitong's father had already lost his life because of them, and Lin Chen truly did not want to see Wu Shitong wading into these troubled waters again.
