I got up, picked up my swords and left the room with a bow. It was nice that I was finally able to get away from them but I totally didn't expect what happened next. Liu Chen was close to the patriarchs' hall.
'What's he doing here?' I wondered. He definitely didn't receive an invitation from the elders so that meant he came here of his own volition. This bastard was up to something. This guy had a talent of getting on my nerves even with just his presence and he made me to hold Wang Wei in high regard because he had been dealing with this for almost the whole of the nineteen years of his life. The way he was quiet when I asked him a question pissed me off all the more but I showed no emotion. This was how Wang Wei lived his life and I wasn't ready to start hearing questions that I had no answers to so I kept my cool.
"I happened to be passing by the elders' hall and heard you say that you want to join the Blue Haze Mountain contest"
Why didn't I think he would be eavesdropping on our conversation this scummy bastard. "I don't seem to understand how that concerns you"
"It concerns me in every way. I will also be taking part in the contest so we might have to fight each other. Is something wrong with you? Do you think you can win?"
"I don't have time for any of this" I wanted to leave but he made a sword from his spirit energy and placed it right by my neck. If it were the old me I'd probably be scared but right now I wasn't feeling anything except insult that he drew a blade at me. 'Fuck this' I thought and drew a sword too, using it to hit his sword out of my way.
Surprise was written all over his face, probably because he wasn't expecting me to draw a sword talk less of hitting his out of the way. I wasn't Wang Wei and I wasn't going to take any bullshit he took from Liu Chen.
He pointed the sword at me this time "Don't feel special because the patriarchs acknowledged your sword skills, I can still beat you anytime and anywhere. You're still weak"
He said he could beat me but this guy was totally wrong. After condensing my core I spent the rest of the night learning how to manifest and control my spirit energy and I learned it pretty fast. That combined with Wang Wei's sword skills, all of which were in my head and I could perform without issues, I would be able to beat Liu Chen but I wasn't going to show him here, it wasn't the perfect stage to put him in his place.
"Just like you said I'm weak and the contest is really close. I have to train so if you will excuse me" I use my sword to move his out of the way and walked away from him. Now I could go train in peace.
This was all nice, with Wang Wei's memories it was like I had being living here all my life so I knew where I was going. I was going to train somewhere only Wang Wei knew about. As I walked away Liu Chen looked at me with eyes of hatred but I did not even act like I saw him.

I sat on a boulder, ready to meditate. There were trees around me so I was sure that no one would see me or disturb me. How did Wang Wei even find this place. He may not have known but the place had abundant spirit energy. I closed my eyes and I immediately found myself in the state of mind, my speed of entry got me worried but that didn't matter at the moment.
The scene in front of me right now was very concerning. Upon entering the state of mind I found myself on the astral plane like in outer space not a void this time. Now the really pressing issue was that I couldn't see my just condensed spirit core anywhere, not even fragments of it. What I saw was baffling and heart wrenching. There were nine tinier spirit cores, each of different colors and they were arranged to form a perfect circle. 'What in the world is going on?'
