Chapter 243 - Road Trip II: Prolouge Gotham

I don't own DC

For the first time in what felt like ages Superbabes was closed. Not because of previous issues like a wrecked wall, superhuman attack, or general havoc and robbery, nor because of such things as mass staff sickness, poor health rating, or a sudden shortage of food…

Nope. It was a holiday so Orders gave most of the girls the day off. I say MOST of them… there were a few still at the shop for one reason or another. To hang out. To socialize. To keep the boss company. Punished to cleaning the floors, the doors and the bathrooms...

Or oddly enough to do Taxes.

"Hmm-hmmn-hmn!" hummed Veronica aka 'Starfire' as she read one receipt, document, and filing one after another. Stacking them neatly on the poker table as she did Orders taxes and restaurant filings… at the same time… in her HEAD.

"She really just does that." declared Helen aka 'Wonder Girl' surprised, playing pool with Alice aka 'Raven' as the latter waited on Veronica to finish her accounting 'duties'. "…Honestly I thought it was a joke."

"Nope. She does it all the time. For fun… sometimes she'll do three girls at once."

Helen eyed her suspiciously at the way Alice said that. "...Their taxes?"

"…Sure. That too." Alice noted practically. Regardless of what she actually meant, her statement was still true. Helen missed her shot. "She'll toss all the various filings and receipts into a box and just DO them."

"And she is always right?"

"Would Orders trust her with her money if she wasn't?" Alice sarcastically, but sagely replied. Helen's glamorously beautiful head nodded in understanding as Alice sunk a lucky ball. "There's definitely something wrong with V, but she is a math savant."

"Hmmn-hmn…hmm?" Veronica stared at a crisp document, freshly removed from an envelope and tossed into the pile. She read it slowly, pouting, before she got to her feet looking curious as she walked to the back of Superbabes and around Orders's counter to her office.

"…What's that about?" Helen asked but Alice looked just as confused.

"…No idea."

"Orders." Veronica opened the office door to find the boss of Superbabes actually taking a nap, softly dozing in her chair as Veronica approached and shook her shoulder. "Orders!"

Ronnie-Bell, aka 'Giganta' who had been lifting tables for some of the other girls to mop beneath, stuck her head in the doorway as the purple-eyed boss of Superbabes awoke from her apparently pleasant sleep, as she didn't immediately yell at the beautiful slutty redhead.

"What is it, Veronica?"

"Why didn't you ever tell me you owned a boat? I have to make a note of that on document-" she began but Orders blinked sleepily at her, her normally stern scowl becoming increasingly apparent.

"What? I don't own a boat." She replied frankly as Veronica held the paper she had been reading to Orders as she snatched it from her hand and glanced it over, her purple-eyes flickering as Veronica continued in stride.

"According to this, you do. There's a boat under your name docked in Star City called the Good Fortune…"

"Star City? That's on the other side of the continent." Ronnie-Bell noted looking concerned as she leaned on the doorframe. "Why would you have a boat docked in Star City?"

Orders seemed to read and re-read the document, flipping the pages over one after the other, reading the first second and third pages constantly becoming increasingly, and noticeably enraged. "I don't OWN a boat." She said, a distinct snarl in her voice. "…But I know who would BUY one and put it under my name…" she said angrily, before reading the notice again. Finding a number and snarling. "Out." She said.

The two redheads looked at her surprised as she stood up and repeated firmly. "OUT. I need to make a personal call." She said with such venom both girls felt the need to take an antidote, and Ronnie-Bell was fairly certain her genetically modified body was immune to most poisons… not that she checked.

Both girls stood outside her office as she slammed the door so hard the picture of Grace, Brielle, Laura, Veronica, and Mel with the real Wonder Woman was knocked askew. Ronnie-Bell casually adjusted it and walked away as Veronica hesitantly went back to the poker table currently being used for taxes.

"What was that about?" Alice asked as Veronica just shrugged and oddly quiet, went back to work…

It was about 10 minutes later when the shouting started… well, not really shouting, more along the lines of 'angry speaking'. Ronnie-Bell eyed Orders' office door like it insulted her muscles as the angry speaking lessoned, and finally stopped…

The door swung open, and Orders ran her hands on the side of her head as she took a deep breath. And let it out slowly. "Well?" the towering redhead asked as Orders' purple eyes flicked up to her.

"…A… person…" she spat the word, "Of whom I've severed all ties with. Apparently bought a houseboat under my name in an attempt to keep it off the books. However, the owner of the docks it's moored at hasn't been paid in several weeks and it's just been sitting there. SO. I need to pay for it or retrieve it…"

"Someone stole your identity?" Ronnie-Bell asked surprised, "You know who right? Want me to hurt them?" Being Clairvoyant made vengence so easy.

"Of course, I know who. But I'd rather never see them again. I'll settle for taking their houseboat." She frowned irately. "…Of course now I need to go to Star City… GOD what a waste of time!"

....Sometimes in life even the most unique of individuals have moments of clarity. As if a higher power reaches down and taps inspiration into their minds… and BOOM. An brilliant idea forms.

"…OH!" Veronica suddenly shrieked and clapped happily as Alice jumped.

"Veronica not now." Orders growled impatiently, "I have a headache and now I have to go traveling…"

"No-no-no!! I have an idea!" she got up. "ROAD TRIP!"

"NO." Alice said immediately and looking terrifed..

"No! No-no-no it's GREAT!" Veronica actually LEAPED over the counter and turned on the computer before bringing up a map of the United States. "Remember when you sent us on that road trip!?"

"Vividly." Orders replied, glaring at Veronica.

"Well you only sent us here!" she said, circling the east side of the country. "But look where Star City is!" she pointed towards California. "Here's what I'm thinking! You send US over THERE!" she said, pointing at it. "We get the boat!" she tapped Star City and dragged her finger down the coastline. "We hit the big cities! And then we… oh…" she pouted, noticing that there was a big chunk of land called MEXICO stopping the 'boat' from continuing its journey. "…I forgot about Mexico…"

"How did you forget about Mexico?!" Alice asked indignantly. "I certainly didn't! Not since the last time you sent me there!-"

"Shut up." Orders ordered, suddenly looking at the map in a new light. "...….Star City. San Francisco. Coast City." She then dragged her finger up to Vegas. "…Las Vegas." She kept her finger on the screen as she seemed to think. "…I know a guy." She said cryptically before pulling her finger away. "…He can get the boat to me. Quickly."

Ronnie-Bell crossed her arms. "You know a guy?"

"He'll either do me a favor or we'll ship the boat to the gulf of Mexico and work our way up from there." Orders replied, "…I was just going to throw a Molotov cocktail at it and call it a day, but I imagine there are less felonies this way."

"So you're plan is to send some girls to the west coast to sail a ship you didn't know you own down the coast of California to then drive to Las Vegas to meet up with a guy who owes you a favor to send you a boat to Gotham?" Ronnie-Bell declared stoically, "…And what's stopping you from just hiring a guy to ship it here?"

"I can ask Chloe if you want to do that" Veronica supplied as Orders glared at her, "What?"

"This was your idea!" Orders replied only to roll her eyes, and rubbed them exasperatedly. "…It wouldn't hurt to spread the brand on the West Coast… we got a good uptick in customers after your girls went to those cities.

"Road TRIP!" declared Veronica happily.

"Not you." Orders replied.

"Whaaaaat?" Whined Veronica as Orders pointed to the pile of various tax filings.

"You got a job to do here. So you can't go."

"But it was my idea-OW! OW!" Orders tugged at her ear as she squirmed, "Ow! Orders!" she whimpered as Orders let go.

"…I'll need a girl who can actually steer a boat, and some other girls who can keep a low profile-" she said softly, pondering to herself.

"And you'll need to buy tickets for a flight… who are you going to send?" Ronnie-Bell, "This sounds like a lot of effort for one little houseboat."

Orders seemed to emanate anger and fury. "…This is personal. And since I will be spending MY money to retrieve MY houseboat… I'm going to make the best of it. You get back to work." She ordered Veronica. "You girls too." She turned her attention to the girls cleaning and the girls playing around. "…I need to figure out who to send."

She returned to her office followed by Ronnie-Bell who quietly shut the door and stared her boss down. "…Was your identity stolen?" she asked as Orders snarled.

"It was 'borrowed'… by my parents." She said bitterly. "…Sorry. My EX-parents. I disowned them. But it seems they still think they're entitled to call themselves that."

After a long pause, unsure of what to say, Ronnie-Bell asked. "…Want me to hurt them?"

"I'd rather not ever see them again. Period." Declared Orders, "But I appreciate the sentiment." She added practically as she began to look over some profiles of her girls, wondering if any of them mentioned a talent for sailing.

"…Lucy knows how to sail." Ronnie-Bell declared. Orders glanced at her but she just shrugged, "She might have mentioned it once when we were working out."

"…I suppose if I was to send anyone for this little excursion it should be one of my best." Orders replied, "…Mmmn…" glancing over her roster. "…Now there is just the matter of 'who else' should I send?... I should just get a damn hat and write down the names of any volunteers." Ronnie-Bell just chuckled and left her boss to it.

There would be no shortage of volunteers for this little vacation…

Two days later

"So you're sure about this?" Lucy asked curiously, eyeing a little plastic jar with a drop of perfectly spherical blood in it.

"Positive." Orders replied as Lucy shrugged and slipped it into her pants pocket. "The Jar works."

"I wasn't talking about the jar." Replied Lucy, "I mean sending us to the west coast for… a boat?" she replied with a smile as the other girls headed into the airport to get checked in. Elizabeth, Zoey, Maria, and Lori, all drawing the gazes of the comers and goers of the airport…

"I've already committed, made arrangements, phone calls…" she replied, "Car rentals, truck rentals…"

"Okay I get it." Lucy replied, "You're the boss." She added smiling prettily.

"But you're in charge, just do what you do best and you'll be fine. Make sure you get most of it on recording for the website." She pushed a camera against Lucy's impressive set of breasts.

"Si, Orders." She replied, taking it and stuffing it into her carry-on. "See you in a few days." Orders nodded as Lucy waved, turned and strutted that shapely ass into the airport.

Ronnie-Bell handed Orders her spare bike helmet as the purple-eyed boss tugged it onto her head. "Seems like a lot of effort…"

"Yes. But it'll be worth it. ESPECIALLY when my former father sees that his 'good fortune' is GONE." She snarled, "…Let's get back to work." She replied as Ronnie-Bell revved the bike and sped off back into Gotham towards Superbabes as five Superbabes flew off towards Star City.

And the West Coast.
