We got to night class that night, actually it was a cold season so we're were always on cardigans and pants, but I was feeling so cold that night. I got tired of reading and decided to step outside for a while. As I was standing at the balcony, I noticed a tall black silhouette standing beside me..I looked up and it was him. Even without looking up, I knew it was him...from his scent.
"Hey, why are you outside?", he asked when he stood beside me.
"Nothing much, I just wanted to take a break", I replied.
"I'm actually feeling sleepy", he said and turned to look at him, that was the first time I was looking into his deep eyes, I stared for a while, Not gonna lie..I was really captivated.
"Uhm..wanna take a walk?", I asked immediately looking away
" Yeah..I think ..I think that'll help right?", He asked a bit stammering...I guess the eye contact affected him too.
"Yeah" I replied and led the way down the long corridor.
There was actually a comfortable silence as we walked beside each other slowly and noiselessly.
"What's the name of your perfume?", I asked breaking the silence.
"You can perceive it?", he asked looking at me..a bit shocked.
" I have a sensitive nose...yeah...", I replied, "smells like chocolate", I added.
"Yeah...it's chocomusk", he replied.
" I like the scent", I said.
" Thanks", he replied.
We kept talking about other things I can't remember til we walked round the building and got back to the lecture hall.
I stopped outside, he turned back and looked at me.
"Not going inside?", He asked
" I'm not in the mood to read yet..I gave myself an hour break..I still have time" I replied.
He nodded and went inside, I stood by the rails beside to hall's door.
I started feeling really cold and kinda missed his company, our conversation made me forget the cold but standing outside alone, I could really feel goosebumps on my skin. I was thinking of going back inside, as I turned I bumped into him as he was coming out from the hall, I guess he was missing my company as well, he was then putting on a head warmer.
"Sorry", I apologize.
"It's okay, wanna go inside already?", He asked. I knew he came outside because of me so I just decided to stay with him..we were free to talk outside as people were reading inside the hall,
" Not really", I replied with a shaking voice and he noticed it.
"What's wrong?....are you alright?", He asked.
I kept quiet but later nodded, I didn't know he actually knew me a little. He held my hands and noticed they were cold.
" You are feeling cold, why did you choose to stay outside?", He asked bringing me closer to him as he removed him head warmer and put it on my head as he stared at me with concern,
"Does this guy even know that I like him, why's he making me like him more", I thought to myself
It was as if the cold intensified under his caring gaze, I just couldn't talk but was shaking a little, tears started falling from my eyes, I don't know how honestly,
" Please hold my hands", I managed to mutter to him and he did so, he blowed warm air on my hands and put them inside his pockets and took me inside the hall, I could feel our coursemates looking at us with curiosity but I didn't have time to dwell on it.
We sat down and he still had my hands his pockets for a while,always asking if I was feeling better
"Don't worry, I'm okay now", I said when he asked for the umpteenth time, I could swear I saw a flash of disappointment in his eyes but he quickly hid it and slowly let go of my hands, Somehow, I didn't know how but I got sleepy after a while and decided to sleep.
