Mark dragged the misfit group off to the side of the muddy crystal town, a plethora of stares battering down on his conscience. Going into someone's rural town and disrupting the peace did no good for the overall Human image, which was already on thin ice.
That negative image was reflected in how the Mutants silently tilted their heads—the Human equivalent of this gesture being a scowl or perhaps a spit on the ground.
Mark and friend's stood behind the small huts that lined the main road, ensuring they were out of sight from onlookers.
"I need all of you to chill the fuck out," Mark hushedly announced as the group gathered around him.
"You chill out," Zac quickly replied, smirking with beady eyes.
Mark looked at him deadpan as Zac held his stupid, unwavering smile.
Natalia then proceeded to strangle her brother—the two immediately resuming their previous catfight.
