On the rugged Atlantic coast, atop a towering cliff, a group of fully armed, silver-armored knights stood proudly on their tall warhorses at the edge of the cliff.
Following their gaze, one could see a large sailing ship several kilometers away, sailing with the wind, gradually moving towards the depths of the ocean.
On the ship, Alexander Corvinus looked at the majestic figures on the cliff, feeling no longer afraid.
They were now far out at sea, and even if Chen Mo wanted to pursue them, he would need a ship.
Having planned to escape by sea, Alexander Corvinus had made thorough preparations.
Besides the ship they were on, all other ships in the territory had been destroyed and burned, making it impossible for Chen Mo to pursue them in the short term. By the time he brought ships from elsewhere, they would have long disappeared into the vast, boundless ocean, with Chen Mo having no idea where they had gone.
Just as Alexander Corvinus breathed a sigh of relief for finally escaping Chen Mo's pursuit, an astonishing scene unfolded on the distant cliff.
On the towering cliff, Andrew, Victor, and others, mounted on their warhorses, watched the ship moving further away with gritted teeth.
For the past three years, they had been expanding their territory and searching for Alexander Corvinus. Or more accurately, their expansion was to find Alexander Corvinus! Now, they had finally cornered him at the edge of the continent, trapped in a territory cut off by the ocean, only for him to escape, leaving them to watch helplessly as his ship sailed away.
They had discovered a winding stone path on one side of the cliff, spiraling down the steep cliff face to the sea below.
Alexander Corvinus and his men must have used this path to sneak down to the shore and board the prepared ship while they were attacking the castle.
However, they also found that there were no other ships below the cliff, so even if they went down, they couldn't pursue them.
Chen Mo stared at the burly middle-aged man standing alone on the ship's stern, showing no anger but rather a smile, like a hunter finally catching his prey.
Glancing at the winding path on the cliff, Chen Mo shook his head inwardly. The path was too steep and narrow, and even he would take a long time to descend. With his long-sought prey right in front of him, Chen Mo had no patience for a slow climb.
Dismounting from his horse, Chen Mo took a few steps forward to the cliff's edge.
The strong sea wind blew his robe, revealing his legs covered in angular, powerful black armor, glistening with a mysterious black sheen in the sunlight.
Since the cliff jutted out over the sea, looking down, there was only deep water below, with no rocks.
Nodding to himself, Chen Mo turned to the knights behind him and commanded in a deep voice.
"Wait for me here!"
Without waiting for Andrew and the others to react, he stepped forward and jumped off the 140-meter-high cliff.
Chen Mo's body plummeted down the cliff, his black robe billowing like a cape in the wind.
His sudden leap shocked the knights. Andrew and the others quickly dismounted and rushed to the cliff's edge, anxiously looking down to see Chen Mo falling straight into the sea.
In their worried gaze, Chen Mo quickly crossed the 140-meter height and plunged into the sea, creating a large splash before disappearing beneath the surface.
As they anxiously watched, Chen Mo's black figure soon resurfaced. Before the knights could breathe a sigh of relief, a small boat suddenly appeared beside Chen Mo on the sea, seemingly out of nowhere.
No one saw how it appeared, as if it had materialized out of thin air.
The small boat that suddenly appeared was actually an inflatable boat that Chen Mo had stored in his space. It was originally intended for emergency landings at sea in the real world, but it came in handy here.
To save space, Chen Mo chose two inflatable boats that could quickly inflate automatically. By pulling a ring, compressed gas stored in a cylinder would rapidly inflate the boat in seconds.
Before inflating, the boat and motor together occupied less than one cubic meter of space, not taking up much room.
Quickly flipping onto the boat from the water, Chen Mo started the engine, and a deep, loud roar sounded. The propeller in the water spun rapidly, generating immense thrust, propelling the boat like an arrow towards the distant sailing ship.
Standing at the stern of the ship, Alexander Corvinus witnessed Chen Mo's leap off the cliff. Initially shocked by Chen Mo's daring act, he was then stunned by the sudden appearance of the boat and its ability to move swiftly without sails or oars.
He was certain that all the boats within a hundred kilometers had been destroyed, and this boat had definitely not been there before!
What surprised him even more was the boat's performance. It was incredibly fast, far exceeding any boat he had seen before. It had no sails or oars, yet it sped across the water faster than a warhorse, which was beyond his understanding.
Under the incredulous gazes of everyone, Chen Mo piloted the boat towards the distant ship, quickly closing the distance to less than a hundred meters.
At this point, Alexander Corvinus finally snapped out of his shock, his eyes flickering as he watched Chen Mo, who was charging towards him with unstoppable momentum.
Chen Mo stood proudly on the boat, exuding an overwhelming aura, his sharp eyes locked onto Alexander Corvinus.
Alexander Corvinus quickly drew his ornate, ancient sword, his eyes fixed on the rapidly approaching Chen Mo, his face full of seriousness.
As an immortal who had lived for hundreds of years, Alexander Corvinus had experienced many strange and complex situations, but he had never encountered someone as mysterious and powerful as Chen Mo, with incredible abilities.
The great Alexander Corvinus had never feared anyone, but he had to admit that he felt a deep sense of dread, or rather, fear, towards Chen Mo.
This was someone more mysterious and powerful than himself!
Chen Mo, unaware of Alexander Corvinus's thoughts, saw that the distance to the ship was less than fifty meters. He turned off the engine, letting the boat continue towards the ship with its momentum.
Moving to the bow, Chen Mo drew the Sword of Kings, holding it firmly, his sharp eyes locked onto Alexander Corvinus, who was also holding a sword and fully alert on the stern deck.
As the boat closed to less than ten meters from the stern, about to collide, Chen Mo pushed off with his legs, causing the boat to sink slightly.
With immense power from his legs, Chen Mo leaped high from the boat, using the momentum to charge towards Alexander Corvinus on the stern deck.
The distance between them rapidly closed, and they could see the cold light in each other's eyes. Just as Chen Mo was about to land on the deck, Alexander Corvinus moved.
He quickly stepped forward, approaching the spot where Chen Mo would land, and thrust his sword straight at Chen Mo's chest, aiming to catch him off guard while he was in mid-air and unable to dodge.
If Chen Mo couldn't block the sudden attack, he would be pierced by the sword, severely injured if not killed, and unable to continue fighting.
If Chen Mo blocked the sword, his balance would be disrupted in mid-air, giving Alexander Corvinus the advantage to launch a series of fierce attacks and defeat Chen Mo.
Alexander Corvinus, with his centuries of combat experience, had quickly put Chen Mo in a disadvantageous position.
If it were an ordinary person, they would lose the initiative and be overwhelmed by Alexander Corvinus's attacks.
But Chen Mo was no ordinary person.
He had returned from the world of "Captain America" with six times the physical strength of a normal person, an indestructible Adamantium armor, and the unparalleled Sword of Kings.
What would be a deadly move for others was something Chen Mo could easily counter in many ways.
Alexander Corvinus's clever strategy impressed Chen Mo, showing that his combat skills and experience far surpassed Chen Mo's.
But sometimes, skill isn't everything.
