Taking the towel handed over by the old butler, Chen Mo wiped his hands and looked at Steve and his companion at the door.
"Why are you back so late?"
"Master, I encountered a bully today," Steve said, boasting like a child showing off his candy.
"And then?" Chen Mo asked, cooperating reluctantly.
"I taught him a good lesson, just like you taught me, and educated him. I believe he will turn over a new leaf and become a better person."
Seeing Steve's serious expression, Chen Mo couldn't help but twitch his mouth and asked in confusion, "When did I teach you that?"
"When you taught me kung fu, whenever I made a mistake, you would give me a good beating and then tell me what I did wrong. I would remember it very clearly and correct it immediately."
Chen Mo was speechless at Steve's "practical application." Having a smart disciple can be quite a headache for a master. While it's good to draw inferences, Chen Mo wondered what kind of Captain America he would end up teaching.
At this moment, seeing the person behind Steve, Chen Mo quickly changed the topic and asked, "Who is this?"
"Ah, Master, this is my best friend, Bucky. We grew up together in the orphanage," Steve introduced Bucky.
"Bucky, this is my master," Steve introduced Chen Mo with a proud expression. Steve had always been very proud to be Chen Mo's disciple.
His master was not only very powerful, easily defeating a large group of gangsters with strength and speed far beyond that of ordinary people, but also turned Steve, who was once a weak and thin person, into someone who could easily knock down a tall and strong man. This was something the old Steve could never have imagined.
In Steve's eyes, Chen Mo was a legendary figure, and he was the disciple of this legend. How could he not be proud?
Bucky looked at the young man who was not much older than himself. If he hadn't seen the explosive power, speed, and precision when he threw the knife just now, it would have been hard to associate him with the highly respected and powerful "master" Steve spoke of.
Bucky dared not underestimate the young man in front of him. The knife thrown just now could have easily taken his life.
"Hello, sir, it's an honor to meet you." With great strength and being Steve's teacher, Bucky couldn't help but use respectful language.
Chen Mo smiled slightly and raised his hand.
"Welcome to the martial arts school, don't just stand at the door, come in and sit down," greeted Chen Mo.
The group sat down on the sofa, and the old butler, Albert, served them coffee.
"Master, Bucky is leaving with the troops for Europe tomorrow. Tonight, we plan to have some fun at Tomorrow's World Expo," Steve said, giving Chen Mo a resentful look, still holding a grudge about not being allowed to join the army.
"Yes, young people should go out and have fun," Chen Mo nodded in agreement.
Steve and the others didn't find anything unusual, but Bucky secretly thought to himself, "You're also young, aren't you?"
"Master, you said you had something to tell me this afternoon. What is it?" Steve asked.
"Your foundation is almost solid now, and you've mastered the combat techniques I've taught you. The rest is to accumulate real combat experience," Chen Mo said slowly, looking at Steve.
Steve didn't quite understand what Chen Mo meant and thought he was being praised. He grinned and said, "It's all thanks to your teaching, Master."
Ignoring Steve's flattery, Chen Mo continued, "So, it's time for you to leave the martial arts school."
"Wha… what? Master, are you kicking me out?" Steve's face turned pale.
Chen Mo gave Steve a look and said slowly, "If you don't want to join the army, you can choose to stay."
"Join the army? Join the army!" Steve finally understood and excitedly asked Chen Mo, "Master, are you saying I can join the army now?"
"I didn't let you go before because your foundation wasn't solid. It wouldn't have been beneficial for your growth. Now that the time is right and you have some self-defense ability, you can go to the battlefield to hone yourself," Chen Mo explained with a smile, looking at the excited Steve.
"Thank you, Master!" Steve finally realized that Chen Mo had been looking out for him, wanting him to have a solid foundation and self-defense ability before joining the army. Feeling touched, Steve thanked Chen Mo and, thinking about how he used to complain, said with shame, "I'm sorry, Master. I used to always complain about you…"
"It's alright, I never blamed you. Weren't you planning to go to the expo? Let's go together," Chen Mo said, standing up.
Steve asked in surprise, "Master, you're coming too?"
"I'm also young, aren't I?" Chen Mo gave Steve a look.
The butler drove the four of them to the expo venue. "You guys go have fun, Eddie and I will just wander around," said Chen Mo, then he and old Albert turned and left.
Steve and Bucky exchanged a glance and shrugged helplessly. "Let's go, you can never guess what Master is thinking," said Steve. They found the two girls Bucky had arranged to meet, and the four of them started exploring the venue, while Chen Mo and the old butler headed straight to the Modern Miracles Pavilion.
The pavilion was filled with many futuristic exhibits, and a bright red car on one of the stands caught Chen Mo's eye.
This should be the anti-gravity car invented by Howard Stark. Although the technology is still immature, it has great potential for future development.
After wandering around with old Albert for a while, the anti-gravity car exhibit began. Chen Mo saw that Steve and Bucky were also standing below the stage with the two girls.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Please welcome Mr. Howard Stark!"
Surrounded by a group of young women, the handsome and dashing Howard took the stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, what if I told you that in just a few years, your car will no longer need to touch the ground?" As soon as Howard finished speaking, several women removed the tires from the car, revealing a mysterious device installed in place of the wheels.
"Yes, with Stark's anti-gravity technology, all this will be possible." As Howard slowly pushed the control lever, the entire car began to float, and the crowd below gasped in amazement.
"Oh my God!"
"This is incredible!"
"My goodness!"
Unfortunately, before the excitement could last long, the anti-gravity device suddenly sparked, and the car crashed heavily onto the stage.
"I said it would take a few more years, right?" Howard explained awkwardly.
The crowd still gave him a round of applause, as they had never seen such high-tech stuff before.
Steve didn't seem very interested in this. The girl next to him was engrossed in watching the handsome Howard's tech demonstration, and Steve clumsily handed her a snack at the wrong moment, earning a big eye roll from her.
Steve had no idea how to interact with girls. Feeling dejected again, he looked around aimlessly and suddenly noticed a recruitment poster on a wall behind him, with an arrow pointing to a passage.
"I WANT YOU!"
