Moments later, a bell rang, and the wedding was announced to begin.
Byung-Ho returned to his seat next to Agent Cross. Everyone was silent. Eyes were flicking back and forth, rustling could be heard, and there wasn't a word going around. The tension between the guests was obvious from a spy's point of view. Byung-Ho and Agent Cross glanced at each other at the same time.
Something's not right.
Byung-Ho leaned in closer to Agent Cross and covered his mouth slightly. "Did something happen while I was gone?"
Agent Cross shook his head as he also leaned in closer. "As soon as the lights dimmed, everyone became silent."
Tak
The spotlight that was pointed at the stage grew brighter and wider. All eyes were now focused on the priest standing at his podium. Gosh.. that guy looks so old.
Byung-Ho could feel some eyes from the guests searching around. They all landed on one thing. The ring box that is on full display.
Soft music began to surround the area as the groom stepped out into the spotlight. The man wasn't astonishingly good-looking. Nothing about him stood out too much. At most, he was just a snobbish rich guy.
Fredrick Albashour. Our main target.
Suddenly, a cold chill could be felt.
What is this feeling?
Byung-Ho glanced around as the feeling of bloodlust filled the air. "Leo.. do you feel that?" He nudged on Agent Cross' arm and slightly lifted himself off of his seat. He was prepared to take action if the situation called for it.
Where is this feeling coming from? Is it the guests? Fredrick Albashour? The priest?
...
Agent Cross?
No, it's coming from somewhere else...
Soon after, the bride stepped onto the far end of the stage. Her puffy eyes couldn't be seen under all the make-up he put on her face. The spotlight shined brightly at her as the music grew increasingly louder.
Tap..tap...tap...
Her heels tapped gently across the stage as cheering could be heard from the guests. Fredrick stood straight up with a nervous glance in his eyes.
Byung-Ho glanced down and noticed that Agent Cross had his hand next to his strapped gun. I guess he's also conflicted about the feeling...
Bzz bzz... beep... connection has been lost.
Byung-Ho quickly tapped on his in-ear device. He was worried that he hadn't heard anything from the other agents but to lose connection? This is really bothering him. What the hell is going on?
Agent Cross also couldn't get a hold of the other agents. This has never happened before...
The music grew increasingly louder. The bride arrived in front of the groom and stared at him with a smile that seemed believable at first glance. The priest began to recite his blessings to the couple, but the music kept growing louder and louder. Soon, the priest's words couldn't even be heard over the ear blasting music.
BOOM
An army of masked men in all black marched into the wedding venue. The guests didn't look surprised as they all pulled out some sort of weapon.
Wow.. It looks like everyone here wants their hands on that ring.
Agent Cross quickly stood on the table and hopped through the various tables and decorations onto the stage. Many other guests also all made their way towards the ring in a panic. However, Byung-Ho sat at his table with an amused smile.
Agent Cross made his way up to the stage in order to protect the innocent from harm.
The men in black all closed in as they also aimed for the ring. Fredrick Albashour watched in horror as his wedding day was ruined.
Before everyone could get their hands on the ring, the closest person to the ring, Lin Albashour, grabbed it. She swiftly took off her heels and aimed it at the intruders closing in on her.
BOOM BOOM
... the men fell back as they were shot by the weaponized heels.
We really did end up having to use those heels... every time I see it, I'm astonished.
Byung-Ho stood up and pulled out a pistol from his purse. He swung it around as he walked towards the stage. Everyone seemed confused and shocked as Lin trembled with the heels in hand.
Before we returned to the wedding, I had a talk with Lin in the bathroom. I didn't predict the random men barging in on the wedding, but it did seem like the guests were involved in this one way or another. That's why we traded our heels. The weaponized heels that my association created were supposed to be an emergency thing, so I told her to use them to protect the ring with her life.
"B-back away! Get back!"
Lin yelled while pointed the heels at the intruders. Her eyes glanced at Byung-Ho as he hopped onto the stage. A sense of relief rushed over her.
Agent Cross was busy in the background fighting the men off with his cool skills, but that's not important right now.
Byung-Ho kept his gun pointed at everyone as he stepped closer and closer to Lin.
The guests seem to be criminals who want the ring for themselves to sell. But... the men in black seem to work for a different association.
"Everyone, don't move or I'll shoot somebody."
Some of the intruders didn't listen and tried to knock the pistol out of Byung-Ho's hand. He swiftly grabbed onto one of their wrists and kicked them onto the ground. He managed to catch his gun as it fell down.
Suddenly, a man came rushing at Byung-Ho with a knife in hand. Before the man in black was able to stab him with his knife, Byung-Ho was able to pull the trigger in time.
Byung-Ho stood in his shooting stance and began to shoot at everyone that was rushing towards him. Those with a gun also didn't hesitate to use them.
F*ck! I'm done for if I get shot-
He quickly grabbed Lin and jumped off the stage. The shooting began as he hid between the tables. He aimed at the lights and shot then off.
CRASH
Now, the venue was pitch black. Soon, red emergency lights went off.
Agent Cross was still busy holding off a few of the intruders. Byung-Ho glanced at the fight to see if Agent Cross was still alive, but he caught a glimpse of something strange instead. What the actual hell?
Agent Cross was bloodied to a far extent. He had a huge smile across his face as he stabbed his opponents half to death. His eyes didn't seem sane at all. Suddenly, he began to start laughing?
Byung-Ho immediately turned away and covered Lin's eyes. That's something to think about on another day.
Let's pretend like I didn't see that.
He held onto Lin's arm and pulled her away so that the men wouldn't spot her. He held out his hand and glanced into her eyes.
"The ring... give it to me."
Lin glanced down at his hand and nodded. She placed the box of the ring in his hand and sighed in relief.
Wait a second..
He opened the ring's box and groaned loudly.
"CRAP. Sh*t like this always happens in these type of missions.."
He sighed and threw the box away. Lin watched in shock.
"W-why did you do that!?" She was about to go after the ring, but Byung-Ho grabbed onto her wrist.
"It's gone."
F*ck. This is so cliche...
