In novel when Kia confronted evil cultists. One time she find out one of their hideouts. She defeated them with help of her classmates . She asked reason for attack on her mom. They told her that they wanted to kidnap her for research.They were suspecting that she has special physique.
During attack her mother stopped them and died. Later they found out that she can't live long. They lost interest and thought that she didn't have special physique. He is also not sure about physique but he this may most logical reason for her illness.
Protagnist has physique which help him in control of light element. He will be major threat to void creature and evil cultists due to his purification properties.
He come out of his thought listening Kia's shaky voice," what do you mean by this how evil cultists are related this. Tell me."
Everyone looked for answer to Leon. He looked towards Count Frost," mr Luren,I asked aunt about Kia's mother's death. I found out reason for her death. Don't you think it's weird why evil cultists target her. She was only peak B rank hunter. She was not related to them in any cases. Then why did they target her."
" I also tried to found reason but never able to."
" If I know Kia's illness started at 6 age. You tried to find cure for her. Thus it will not secret that she is ill due to extreme cold. Evil cultists has various high level mad Alchemist and researcher on human body and elements. So when they found out Kia's condition. They will surely suspected that she has special physique. Thus their target was Kia not her mother."
Count Frost asked questioningly," if that's the case then why they don't attack again."
" When she was first time ill. Then you must have thought the case of special physique. But why you discarded that thought after?"
"Because after awakening her status doesn't show any special physique and her condition worsened. "
Leon answered," yes they don't attack again because they may also thought same as you. They lost their interest. When miss Hellen was attacked Kia was with her. Everyone died expect Kia who was made unconscious by her mother. This is the major reason for my suspicion. According to my information every attacker also died. because miss Hellen used some formidable technique to defend from A ranker attacks. It s wierd that Kia was safe untill after such intense battle. Only logical reason is that their target was always Kia."
Listening this everyone gasped and thought about all dots. The theory and proofs matches perfectly. Count lost colour of his face. He always wanted to find reason and he found today. Kia said with guilt filled expressions," you mean mother died because of me. She died because of me who is always ill or useless."
Seeing his daughter pained face count couldn't say anything. He don't know how to console her. He looked towards Leon. Duchess and Duke also looked towards him.
He understands and went to her," you are wrong she didn't died because of you. She died because she want to protect you."
She responded with pained voice,"what do you know,she died because of me who is useless, can't do anything because of my illness,I can't take revenge I can't do anything."
Listening this Leon angered. When she called herself useless. He said in angry voice," yes you are really useless."
Listening this everyone looked at him. Count Frost face furrowed he immediately wanted to shut Leon by attack then felt chill in the side from Duke Kevin so stopped.
Kia's face become more pained. He continued," you are useless because you discarded your mother sacrifice by belittling yourself. You were so precious for your mother that she sacrifice her life for you. But now you are saying useless yourself. You become distant to everyone when you learnt that you will die early. You become like statue who always have only one expression. Do you think your mother will be happy seeing you like this."
Every words of Leon were on the spot for Kia. He can see everything clearly about her. She said with pained expression," then what should I do?"
Leon lower her voice and calm down," why don't ask for help to anyone. Why take to all to yourself. You can ask help from your father. From me your first friend."
Listening this she looked in his blue eyes which has warmth for her like her mother.
He came near to her and said," why don't you cry to ease your pain,why keep it inside. There is lot of people to help you."
Kia immediately hugged him and start to say while sobbing," please help me .. cure me.... it's painful....I can't sleep in peace... please help me I want to strong I want to take revenge...sob sob."
Seeing this Count Frost eyes were also moist. He looked towards Leon with gratitude. His daughter let it out her emotions after long time. Duchess smiled seeing his son can see through her facade. Duke also smiled and thought he is like her mother who understands people best.
He replied her," okay I will help you ,your father help you,we will help you in your revenge and your illness."
After 10 minutes Kia come to senses and separated while her face was red as tomato. She said meekly ," sorry I lost control."
Leon's mind was already mess because he never hugged by a girl in his both lives so he started to say bullshit," oh no it's alright it feels good.when a beautiful girl hugged me."
Listening this her face become in more red. Soon they listened coughing sound of Duchess who was saying from her expression," are you done I am waiting."
Seeing this they both come to senses.
Once again they were sitting on table. Duchess said," Leon when you become so good in talking, I saw you first time angry."
Listening this he become embarrassed and said," aunt stop teasing me please."
Listening this she only giggled
Then count frost asked in serious voice," I think your guess is correct. Can you cure her."
" I can't cure her now but I can ease her pain . Give me about two months. I will do some research. Father I want help from uncle Jim for something. Can I have him for sometime."
Listening this duke surprised but didn't ask anything he only nodded.
He look towards Kia and said," practice your mana control as much you want. Find a suitable teacher. Listen mr Luren advice to progress slow. You are progressing so fast ,your body can't adapt that much ice mana."
Listening this Kia nodded.
Then Duchess asked her," why don't you stay here, I can teach you mana control."
She was about to denied but then count Frost said," thanks princess,we will do as you say."
Leon :," aunt I am going to research so I will not be able to train for some time with you."
"Don't tell me you are going to do this time as well like previous time. Without eating, sleeping continue work."
Leon said embarrassly," when did I such thing."
Listening this Duchess only sighed and didn't say anything.
