Chapter 10 - 010 · Descendant of Hecate

"That is mind-blowing amazing, I never thought that was possible, I don't think that story is known by people outside your realm," the male who had been with his hand around Ámándá's waist spoke, and he's probably her husband Francis Roedyn Laelithar, the male who set the bar of the record of a bid in the auction for 900 million mahjs when he bought Ámándá, 69 years ago, when she was 300 years old, and who's the 3rd Royal Prince of Naevys. Grégórí, Ámélí, and Ádélé's father, who turned out to be Ámándá's mate in a twist of fate.

Either that, or he knew before she did and that's why he went all out to get her to be his in the auction. But just because they got a happy freaking ending, it doesn't mean other girls like me will too. I genuinely doubt I will, because me and happy doesn't fit right in the same sentence, whereas me and ending sound like a beautiful pair, especially if it's the ending of my bloody life we're talking about.

"That only applies to the descendants of Hecate, only my bloodline, in all the past millennials, no one was born when the Blood Star Fall took place, even if their children were due to that day, no kid would be born then, because the magic that overflows Crims'On is so strong that it blocks the births, unless it's the birth of a baby of Hecate's bloodline, which I was, I still am. The last who was born in the Blood Star Fall was exactly 1,069,666 years ago, and it was my direct ancestor, Killian Hator Mortimer," they all paled, because everyone has heard the name of the strongest fae of my entire bloodline. "So, it's a legend that lies within my family or used to, since I'm the last Mortimer standing."

Killian Hator, the Blood Scythe, is my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandpa, technically by both sides because out of the fifteen children he had, the oldest son ended up as the mate of the youngest girl and they married and had the rest of my bloodline. The Mortimer's were very infamous for starting a crazy habit of marrying each other, never mixing our blood with no other, keeping it all pure. But it wasn't a habit as many think, and it was not initiated by grandpa Killian who married his only sister who was younger than him and they were the only heirs of the bloodline back then, they simply ended up mated with one another, it wasn't something he began to keep power within us.

This tradition was made by fate and started with him, and the outsiders all thought he was doing that to keep the bloodline clean from everyone else, and all that began because they thought he was too damn arrogant. Back then, the Mortimer and the Imperial bloodline had close ties with each other, and grandpa Killian was in fact the best friend of Emperor at that time. That didn't age well like wine as we once thought it would, instead it aged like milk, and I lost everyone to him.

"You are a direct descendant of Killian, the Cruel?" Ámándá gasped.

He's known by many names, but none of them knew him, they just shit on his name for the fucking sake of doing so. It maddens me. "I am, yes."

"We know that you are the last Mortimer alive, but who were your parents, Kore? I don't think anyone knows that, and that would be very useful!"

I turned to Ámándá again, annoyed, "Ivarstoff and Katrinka Mortimer, the patriarch and matriarch of the clan, birth siblings, mated, two of the strongest faes ever born in our bloodline, both direct descendants of Killian, the Royal King and Queen of Crims'On under the Supreme Empire of the Nine Realms. I was their 6th and youngest child, all of my siblings were already adults when it all happened. As tradition, the kids of my bloodline were only shown to the people after they turned 10 years old, so, they knew I existed but didn't know who I was or who my parents were, because mom and my aunt were pregnant at the same time, but my aunt had a miscarriage when she was in the 5th month."

"You… are the 6th Princess?" Ámándá's mom asked in shock.

"Not anymore," I stared at nothing, feeling an sche in my chest. "I have no Kingdom, no inheritance, no family, I'm… nothing as I am right now. And it's because I'm nothing that I accepted this, because I have no place to stay, no money, my work failed again, and I was about to become homeless. So, I would be glad if you stopped with the questions about my family. You don't need to know much of them past this, it'll mean nothing, they have been gone for 120 years, whoever… buys me, will be marrying me not my parents or my dead family, me. If you have more questions about me, I'll answer, if not, I would rather go to the room you got me in here, wherever that is. My standards are very low, even a cupboard with a bed would he heaven to me right now."

The way they looked at me with… pity, made me want to die. More than I already wanted before, to be clear. I hate pity, pity makes me fucking angry.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be inconvenient, Kore," Ámándá swallowed. "I can't imagine how much shit you've been through, my son and Justine told us that the locals of Crims'On are unjust and mistreat you ever since you were a child, and have been sabotaging you in everything. But my son told me you have the best traits a Lady could need in here, you are steller in the kitchen and you love kids."

Clenching my jaw, I nodded, then I put my backpack down and grabbed my two resumes from it, then I handed it to her. I made both a long time ago.

"Justine told me to bring my resume and I have two. One for my culinary work and another for my babysitter work. I also brought all my documentation," I handed her the file with everything. "All of my school and colleges records are in there, I was always at the top 1 of the class, because I've always like studying, I got accepted into all of the courses available in all the five universities of Crims'On. There are my work documents and all the places I've worked on and in what position, as well as for how long."

I also grabbed the small file with my handmade work cards and everything I had made for my cupcakes home bakery, which I have been working in the last years and handed to her. "My last job was as a babysitter to Mr. Snow, ever since then I've been trying to work on my own, with baking, so I've made a little cupcake store, renting Mr. Snow's little studio for it. But for influence of the high society of Crims'On, made out of locals who hate me, my clients began to stop coming after me, so I couldn't make enough to pay the rent of his studio, that he had lowered for me out of consideration, so he had to kick me out. That happened some hours ago."

"I wouldn't mind someone with a child, if that matters, in the case of them having a child out of a wedlock or something, it would actually make me feel better. I always loved kids, maybe that will help in finding someone who won't solely be buying me because of the cursed power that my bloodline carries. Cooking is a escape for me, it calms my mind down, but more than cooking I love baking, I'm not a fan of sweets myself, but I love baking it, and I'm very skilled at it, in fact, the only thing I really know about all the nine realms are their desserts, and I am good with the basic such as cakes and cupcakes, they come easy to me."

"I was an accelerated student, so, I graduated from Culinary in 9589 in the Borcelle Crims'On Local University, then I went for a graduation in Baking Arts at the Crims'On Culinary Interracial University that ended in 9594. In 9663 I went for a Obstetrics graduation in the Crims'On Medical University, which I graduated from in 9666, and helped me the most in my babysitter work. As you can see, I'm fluent in Zekaron," I've been speaking in it ever since I crossed the portal. "I'm the best at Crimsnin, my first language, and I'm also fluent in Arientto."

"I cannot speak the language of the other six realms though, only of the Starlight Conjunction, as I never considered leaving Crims'On, even less being in this. My blood is silver, I'm a negative O, I'm 1.70m tall, I currently weight 46kg which is less than the ideal but all I could managed, and I am allergic to all kinds of fish, I think I am a good dancer, and... hm, what else? I hate light, I'm sensitive to it, I'm nocturnal. I don't like summer or spring, I don't like warm weathers, I hate physical touch, and if they try to force me to do anything, I will murder them."

"Don't worry about that, Kore, I hand picked all of the males, and none of them would ever do this. Besides, I made all of them swear on the Styx that they wouldn't dare to try forcing any of you to do nothing," fuck, that just took a huge weight out of me, and they definitely noticed by how I sighed in relief. "Besides, we'll kee tab on all of you for the first 6 months, to make sure you are being treated well and taken care of."

"That's reassurin, better than killing someone else," I chuckled anxiously.

But not as anxiously as she did, "You've killed before?"

Oops, "I went berserk and lost control of myself, damaged happened."

"Then let's avoid making you go berserk," she swallowed anxious.
