Stepping into her office, Emma gazed around the room and a look of disdain couldn't help but grow on her face.
Blue..
That was Micheal's favourite colour and her past self, so in love went on to paint her office blue even though she despised the color. Slipping her device out of her pocket, she went on and sat at the edge of the wooden desk, one arm crossed and the other dialling her assistant's line.
"Yes ma'm, would you like me to get you anything?"
"Come up." Was all Emma said before cutting the call. She then walked over to the back of the desk and settled into the swivel chair, scrutinising each file ontop of the desk with a brow. She suddenly picked one of the files up and flipped it open, just to be met with numerous calculations, all calculating different expenses and debts yet to be paid.
Emma flipped through more pages but the figures only got larger, finally getting to the end she saw a bold writing; TOTAL LIABILITIES: $2,500,000.
She closed the file and leaned into the chair, her hand stroking her chin. In her previous life, when she had initially met Micheal, she was so distracted by him that she had stopped giving her company enough attention, she hardly dropped by the office and didn't bother to enquire about anything that was going on either. She had also given Micheal full access to her credit cards and company's funds.
Looking at her debts, she now finally realises that bastard had been laundering money all along.
At that moment, Amy, her assistant walked in, her face drenched in sweat and her clothe creased to every inch. She was taking in heavy breathes as if she had just finished doing something very exhausting and her faced was flushed red to her neck.
Emma arched a brow, she had discovered in the past that Amy and one of the board of directors who happened to be Micheal's uncle were both having an affair.. that man also helped Micheal easily steal money from her. She'll deal with that fatso later..
"Ma'm.. you called.. for me." Amy said, still trying her best to catch her breath.
Emma leaned forward, resting her left cheek in her palm. "So this is why you were absent from your office earlier?" Fear instantly gripped Amy, does her boss.. know about she and the chairman? It shouldn't be.. she hardly puts her head into anything relating to the business..
"Anyways, I just went through the business's accounts and the debts we owe is enormous, did the company purchase anything without my permission?" Amy hastily shook her head. "No ma'm, nothing of great importance was purchased without your permission."
Emma pretended to appear distressed. "Where in the world will I get $5,000,000 to pay off this godforsaken debt?" She mummered but loud enough for her assistant to hear. Amy tried her best to hide the grin on her face and immediately lowered her head. "Is there any other thing you'd like me to do Ms Smith?"
Emma hummed. "I want my office repainted, ash preferably." Amy nodded and finally exited the room. The latter immediately shook her head with a small smile. In the past, after she finally learnt of the huge debt her company owed, she told Amy about it and the latter had secretly gone to inform her mother and Lilah and they did nothing to help her and instead celebrated about her soon to be downfall.
Now doubling the debt to $5,000,000 not only will they celebrate, but they'll put down every guard of theirs, Emma smirked, and that will be very unfortunate on their path.

"How dare she fire you?! What does she think of herself?!" Michael angrily shouted and the latter slowly embraced him. "I truly did not do anything, all I received was a sack letter saying that I had been suddenly fired for my incompetence, I swear Mikey, I'm always working overnight and yet this is how I get repaid."
Micheal looked down at the lady in his arms with eyes glowing with affection and slowly wiped the tears off her cheeks before plastering a kiss on her lip. "I know how hard you've been working and Emma does not have any right to fire you.. I'll go speak with her mother about it, okay?"
Keith creased her brows. "She's your wife isn't she, why can't you speak to her directly?" Remembering how indifferent Emma had been behaving lately and even the fact that she had tazzed him, Michael a little horrified shook his head. "She's been acting a bit off, I'll speak with her mother instead."

Amy with a big grin immediately walked towards her office and carefully made sure no one was looking before closing the door behind her. She settled into her seat and hastily brought out her phone and dialed a number, the person at the other end picked up at the first ring.
"Yes?"
Amy smiled. "Miss you won't guess what I found out." Lilah heaved a sigh. "I've told you multiple times that do not play guessing games whenever you decide to call me, now talk."
"Oh.. well Miss, I just found out that Miss Emma is currently owing a debt work five million dollars." Lilah immediately gasped in surprise. "You're telling the truth?!" Amy nodded. "Yes ma'm, she was mummering it to herself but she didn't know I overheard her."
"That's wonderful then! Great job Amanda."
"It's actually Amy but never mind, thank you ma'm, and uhm.. I was also wondering if you could–"
"You didn't do anything special, I only pay when you DO something and not TELL, got it?" Lilah abruptly cut into her words and the latter inwardly snorted. "Got it ma'm."
Lilah slid her phone into her purse and slowly faced her mother with an escatic grin, Viviana arched a brow before sipping in a little champagne. "You seem excited, did anything happen?"
Lilah immediately walked towards her mom and sat down beside her. "You won't believe what great news I just heard mom." Viviana creased her brows. "If it's this exciting why're you still keeping me in suspense then Lilah?"
Lilah smiled. "Emma is currently owing some of her debtors, a staggering five million dollars!" A smile immediately etched it's way to Viviana's lips. "Are you serious?" Lilah nodded and the latter's smile widened. "I knew you were just bothering yourself earlier for no reason, Emma is still the same old Emma, dumb and naive, that business was bound to crash in her hands, I wonder why your grandfather had to leave it in her care and not yours."
"You're right mother, I was just worrying for no reason, Emma's still the same dumb girl we all know her to be and about the ownership thing? We won't also have to worry about that for long as you can already see, she's now a chronic debtor."
The two immediately bursted out into laughter but Viviana's buzzing phone soon cut it short. Upon realising it was Micheal calling, she immediately answered. "Hello Mr Harrison." But Micheal's next words immediately shocked the latter.
"I really cannot tolerate your daughter's pompous attitude anymore, what right does she think she has? If she doesn't fix what she has done I reassure you no wedding whatsoever will hold!"
Viviana creased her brows. "Mr Harrison, please calm down and tell me what the problem is."
"The problem? The problem is your daughter fired an administrative worker who has done nothing but make her skill useful for that fvcking ungrateful company!" Everywhere went pin drop silent for a while before Viviana spoke.
"Mr Harrison? Why are you so upset because Emma tired a mere administrative employee?"
