Synopsis

Introduction to Omegaverse

Before starting with the story, let me give you a brief guide to omegaverse.

Omegaverse is a genre premised in a society with a dominance hierarchy similar to that of wolves. Commonly, this system categorizes individuals into groups – they can be either alpha, beta, or omega. Each group shares different characteristics, and this usually manifests during puberty. Here's what each group is like:

The Alphas

- dominant

- assertive, aggressive, protective, possessive

- typically have big and masculine body frames

- can impregnate omegas (male and female) and female betas

The Betas

- similar to regular human beings

- only female betas can get pregnant

The Omegas

- submissive

- they have feminine body frames (even male omegas) and are generally "beautiful."

- can bear a child regardless of gender

- male omegas have self-lubricating anuses

Other terms to remember:

Pheromones - the "scent" they release. This could also be a way of expressing emotions and arousal. Some stories would include betas releasing pheromones, but here, only alphas and omegas can do such.

Heat - just like menstruation but with the intense sexual arousal and releasing of pheromones. During their heat, omegas give off strong pheromones enough to attract an alpha (this is very dangerous, especially for unmarked omegas, since they could be knotted and impregnated.)

Rut - alphas' version of heat. When alpha is in a rut, they are more aggressive and easily aroused.

Marking/imprinting - similar to animals, alphas and omegas can mark/imprint each other by biting one's nape. It is an alpha's way of showing that the omega they marked is theirs. And when they do this, they form a "bond." Long story short, they basically become each other's only mate for life. Their body will reject other people's pheromones because only their partners can attract them. In extreme cases, they could die without the presence of their partner.

Knot/knotting - happens when an alpha's penis swells to lock/tie it inside before ejaculation to prevent it from withdrawing. It could also happen when alphas are just excited.
