Chapter 52 - CHAPTER 38: Immortality

Morin's eyes shifted toward Ayaan, a mix of curiosity and irritation on his face. "Ayaan, you surprise me," he said, his voice low and dangerous.

"In what way?" Ayaan replied, his calm demeanor unwavering.

"I blew off your head, but it healed. I guess I'll just have to keep attacking you until you die." Morin's voice was cold, calculating.

Ayaan smiled softly. "Oh, Mother, give me strength," he murmured, and roots erupted from the ground, speeding toward Morin. With swift, precise movements, Morin sliced through them with his sword. He rushed toward Ayaan, his intent clear and deadly.

Ayaan remained still, seemingly calm, as Morin closed in, ready to strike. Just as Morin was about to stab him, thick roots surged from the ground, wrapping around Morin's legs and pinning him to the spot. Ayaan conjured more roots, reshaping them into a spear, and hurled it at Morin.

Morin manifested a shield just in time, blocking the spear. "I'm at a disadvantage," he thought, eyes darting to Blue, who was still struggling to regain his composure.

Determined to turn the tide, Morin manifested multiple swords, sending them flying toward Blue. Ayaan, realizing the danger, rushed over and blocked the attack with his body, the swords piercing his flesh.

Blue stared in shock. "Why?"

"It's okay," Ayaan said, his voice strained but reassuring. "I can't die. I'm immortal."

Morin's lips curled into a sinister smile. "We'll see about that."

The chapter ends with Ayaan and Blue standing together, facing the relentless Morin, the tension escalating as the battle for survival reaches new heights.
