Blue sat upright on the examination table, his disassembled parts laid out before him like a jigsaw puzzle waiting to be solved. On a large screen nearby, Luchos was engrossed in his work, his fingers flying across the keyboard with practiced precision.
"Luchos, are we done?" Blue inquired, his voice tinged with a hint of impatience.
"Not yet, Blue. I'm just adding the finishing touches," Luchos replied, his eyes fixed on the screen as lines of code scrolled past.
After a few more moments of typing, Luchos announced, "Done."
Approaching Blue, Luchos began the meticulous process of reassembling his parts, his movements careful and deliberate. As the final piece clicked into place, Blue couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation.
"I don't feel any different," Blue remarked, his tone neutral.
"That's because the enhancements are internal," Luchos explained, a hint of excitement in his voice. "Omega instructed me to install a beam cannon in your right hand, rocket boosters in both your legs, and a core in your heart."
Blue listened intently as Luchos detailed how to activate each enhancement, his mind already racing with the possibilities they offered.
"The beam cannon can only be used when the sun is out," Luchos continued, "as your body absorbs sunlight and converts it into energy. The rocket boosters function similarly, using stored energy from your core to propel you forward."
"Thank you, Luchos," Blue acknowledged, a newfound sense of determination evident in his voice as he stood up from the table.
As Blue made his exit, Luchos's expression grew somber, a hint of pity in his eyes. Retrieving a small hard drive from his pocket, he muttered to himself, "I pity you, Blue," before turning back to his work.
