The bell sounded, which meant class was just now ending. I packed my things, then slung my bag over my shoulder, but I didn't leave just yet. The girls walked past first, a few-Mina and Uraraka-looking like they wanted to talk to me, but they left the classroom. Most of the boys followed after them, but two of them-one with brocoli for hair, and another with two-toned eyes-stopped beside me, and I felt like I already knew what was coming. "Midoriya and I were just wondering how you're doing." Todoroki spoke, both with a monotone voice and a blank, almost lifeless expression. I wondered if I sometimes looked anything like that. "Yes, that's right! We just wanted to check in. You've been...." Midoriya trailed off, probably trying to say whatever was on his mind without insulting me. "Rather distant." Todoroki spoke, ever the King of Bluntness. "Todoroki-" "Cold. Harsh. Stoic." The peppermint-haired boy continued, and Midoriya winced with every word, almost as if it physically pained him, his expression one of worry, guilt, and awkwardness. "What he means to say-" "I know what he's saying. No need to elaborate." I spoke, cutting him off. It was silent for another moment before Midoriya spoke up again. "We also wanted to see if you'd like to come to lunch with us!" I glanced at the teachers desk, where Aizawa sat, cuddled up in his sleeping bag, either jot paying attention or pretending. I had only stayed behind for one reason, and one reason only, nothing else. "No." I looked back at the boys. "Well, we'll see you back at the dorms, then." Todoroki spoke, and then both he and Midoriya were off. Once they exited, I went over to Aizawa's desk, wondering what was so important that he'd had to request seeing me after class. "You wanted to talk to me, sir?" He looked up at me, still snuggled in his sleeping bag, looking as tired and stoic as ever. "Yes. You've been here for two nights, and have shown no sign of villainous or harmful intent. As such, I have talked to the other staff, and we've come to an agreement. This will no longer be rehabilitation. From this day forward, you will be a full-fledged UA student." I wasn't so sure how to respond to that, as I didn't feel anything, really. Before I could nod, though, an alarm went off. A loud one, which made me freeze, since I hated loud noises. "Kid, we gotta go. Now." Aizawa spoke, already out of his sleeping bag and tugging me along by my arm, his touch firm and protective yet gentle. But my mind was elsewhere. Why was the alarm going off?
