Adam Linden stumbled back a few paces before regaining his balance.
He looked down to see the young girl who had hurtled into him had fallen back onto the pavement.
She groaned softly and looked up.
Adam blinked in surprise.
She was gorgeous.
The girl had a small frame and looked up at him with big, lost eyes. She had bouncy pink hair that was clearly dyed. Adam could see dark black roots from the top of her head. Her hair was tied back into a loose ponytail at the nape of her neck.
Her clothes were of the business casual style, and she looked rather out of breath.
"Are you alright?" Adam asked walking forward. He reached out a hand.
She took him hand, her eyes not watching him, as she hauled herself up.
"Thank you," she muttered softly, setting herself right and Adam watched her, unable to take his eyes off. She looked like a carefree person. Carefree people either irritated Adam to no end or impressed him.
Adam was still not sure where he placed the young woman in front of him.
The young lady looked up at him finally. Her eyes caught his and she gaped for a minute.
It would have been amusing to watch if Adam wasn't wondering what was going through her mind and what she could be thinking about him.
The girl seemed to catch herself and stopped her staring, "H- Hello! My name is Kiara Hibby."
She smiled quickly before her eyes shifted to the floor, and then to her shoes and then back up at him.
Adam nodded, "I'm Adam. I'm worried about your fall. Are you alright?"
Kiara laughed quietly, looking at him with a cheerful expression, "I am so sorry about that. It must have hurt! I was looking up at the building and did not see you."
Adam nodded, realizing the girl's words were toppling over each other.
"That is alright. This building here?" He smiled, watching her eyes sparkle when she saw his face again. It was clear she thought he was good looking, "is there where you're headed?"
Kiara took a few seconds longer to respond while she watched his face.
"Yes?" She smiled without thinking before she glanced at the building. Her expression morphed into one of panic, "Yes!"
Adam was taken aback when the girl yelled.
"I- I see, well-" The girl was already picking her bag off the floor and swinging it on ferociously.
"My most sincere apologies!" She said frantically. She nodded to him before hurrying to the large glass doors or Stellar Entertainment's building, "I have to go! I am so late!"
Adam nodded as he watched the girl rush to the doors and throw herself through them when they opened. She hurried away.
Adam bit his lip.
He was definitely happy the pink haired girl was still within his orbit. She had walked into Stellar Entertainment.
Adam wondered why.
Could she be an actor of theirs? It was not likely.
Maybe she was auditioning for another part alongside him. Adam cocked his head to the side as he contemplated. It was possible.
Or maybe she was someone who worked here.
Adam Linden frowned. That would make the most sense with how she had reacted. It was still not seven in the morning, but it was probable that the company started work earlier than the scheduled auditions.
Maybe the lovely Kiara worked here and was late.
Adam wondered what she worked as and who she worked under.
Thinking of Della Bosket who was the only one he knew in the company, Adam cringed for the pretty Kiara.
She would get into a lot of hot water if that was her boss.
--
Della Bosket had just settled into her seat. She was an important part of the panel that had been put together to judge the hopeful actors who were appearing to act for the script that she knew to be solid gold.
It had not taken her long to convince her superior. He had an eye for good scripts and had congratulated her on the find.
However, no actors under Stellar Entertainment's banner had found time for the script or had rejected the role all together.
Della sighed under her breath.
Some of them just left their brains at home and only brought their gigantic egos. She hated working with the sloths either way, so she had raised a request to the higher ups to green light an audition and find new talent for Stellar Entertainment to sponsor.
After a week of back and forth, the executives had said yes.
Not everyone had been happy about, including one of the managers who sat at the judging panel with her.
